Zac Efron is ‘happy and healthy’ after recovering from swimming pool incident in Ibiza

It’s impressive to see him bouncing back after the recent pool incident in Ibiza, showing his resilience and commitment to health and fitness.
Following an event on a Friday at a swimming pool in Ibiza, Spain, Zac Efron was subsequently hospitalized. He’s now shared his perspective on the situation.
On Sundays, the actor posted a snapshot on his Instagram Story, displaying him without a shirt, working out under the sunlight using a pink exercise ball as a weight. The caption read, “Feeling great and staying fit – Thanks for your kind messages!”
On a Friday, it was reported by TMZ that Zac Efron, known for his role as “Iron Claw,” was admitted to the hospital following a minor swimming-related incident during his stay at a villa in Ibiza. Two staff members from the villa discovered him unconscious in the pool and rescued him, reports indicate. However, Efron’s representative has chosen not to disclose any additional information.
Representatives for Efron did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for comment Monday.
Previously of “High School Musical,” the actor was spotted the evening before the event in a video shared on TikTok, performing alongside DJ Martin Garrix at a hotel’s nightclub. Reports from photographers suggest he’s been traveling across Europe over the past few weeks.
Apart from his journeys, he was present at the inaugural event of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Subsequently, he shared an Instagram story expressing his immense pride over U.S. gymnast Simone Biles, who secured three gold medals and one silver in this year’s competition.
Reflecting on the past, it felt like coming full circle when Efron, who famously appeared on the “Today” show surprising a teenage Biles during the 2016 Rio Olympics, encountered her again in a more recent setting.
The show kept the actor hidden backstage at the International Interview Center for several hours , until he and host Hoda Kotb watched Biles compete in the floor exercise and win the gold medal. While Efron remained off-camera for a bit in what he described as “a closet,” the whole U.S. team was brought into the room. Kotb reminded Biles of a previous interview where she had joked that she would need a defibrillator if a certain celebrity showed up.
“Stop,” a shocked Biles replied. “If you bring him out, I think I’m gonna pass out. Stop.”
Upon Zac Efron’s entrance, the room echoed with shrieks. It was Laurie Hernandez who first greeted him in a warm embrace, followed by Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, and Madison Kocian. They posed for selfies and shared affectionate kisses. At 5 feet 8 inches tall, Efron playfully hoisted the diminutive 4 feet 8 inches tall Biles onto his hip.
“Just call me Mrs. Efron already Zac Efron,” Biles wrote in a 2016 Facebook post.
In the Netflix original movie “A Family Affair,” Zac Efron recently starred alongside Nicole Kidman and Joey King. This romantic comedy revolves around Brooke Harwood, portrayed by Kidman, who embarks on a relationship with Chris Cole, played by Efron. However, things get tricky because Cole is employed by Brooke’s daughter Zara, brilliantly acted by King.
The actor known for “17 Again” is also slated to appear in the upcoming Disney remake of the 1987 comedy “Three Men and a Baby,” which is currently being prepared for production. At this point, only his name has been announced as part of the cast, following in the footsteps of Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, Ted Danson, and numerous diapers from the original production.
