As a devoted fan who has followed Frank Fritz’s journey through American Pickers for years, I must say it’s been quite the rollercoaster ride! The false rumors of his demise have been like an unwanted guest at a party – uninvited, yet stubbornly persistent. However, thanks to a friend close to Frank and some diligent fact-checking, we can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that our favorite antique collector is still very much alive and enjoying his fudge ice cream!
According to reports, the former star of American Pickers, Frank Fritz, is not only alive but also enjoying a scoop or two of fudge ice cream, debunking claims spread on the internet suggesting his demise.
Last week, there were unverified rumors circulating rapidly about the death of a reality TV figure aged 58. The news seemed to spread as quickly as a forest fire when an online platform titled ‘Remembering Frank Fritz: An Exploration of His Life and Legacy’ popped up on Google.
Confused fans also offered their condolences on Frank’s official Instagram.
Instead, it’s been confirmed by a friend close to the celebrity that he is indeed alive, as reported over the weekend.
On Frank’s official Facebook page, someone posted: ‘Last night, he enjoyed a scoop of fudge ice cream, proving once more that he’s very much alive.’
‘The rumors are still out there but we have been dealing with this a lot over the last two years. These rumors seem to be a little stronger than most in the past.’

As someone who has lost close friends in the past, I can empathize with their desire for a little extra time to inform all of Frank’s closest friends about his passing. It’s never easy to say goodbye, and when we lose someone dear to us, it feels only natural to want to give those who were also close to them the chance to say a proper farewell. In my experience, the support and understanding of loved ones during such difficult times can be invaluable, and I believe that giving everyone the opportunity to come together and remember Frank is an important part of the grieving process.

The History Channel premiered American Pickers in 2010, focusing on the trio consisting of Frank, Mike, and Danielle Colby-Cushman, who operate an antiquity shop in Iowa.
Frank and Mike journeyed across the nation, seeking various collectibles from diverse collectors.
In June 2021, it became public knowledge that Frank had chosen to depart from the show due to a series of health issues, such as undergoing back surgery and dealing with Crohn’s Disease.
Mike stated that Frank was more like family to him, expressing that he would be praying for Frank’s well-being and wishing him the best on his upcoming path.
However, in an interview with The Sun, Frank painted a very different picture of their friendship.
He claimed that Mike’s statement was not his own; rather, someone else had written it for him. In fact, they were not friends during their school years.
It’s rare for him to say just five kind things to me over the past decade. It seems more likely that he was being critical of others while we shared a laugh about it.
