Netflix’s Simone Biles documentary storms trending chart amid Olympics success

As a gamer with a penchant for both sports and gripping dramas, I’ve found myself utterly captivated by the offerings on Netflix recently. The rise of Simone Biles, as chronicled in “Simone Biles Rising,” is nothing short of inspiring. Her journey from the Tokyo Olympics to the Paris Games, fraught with challenges and triumphs, resonates deeply with me, especially when it comes to prioritizing mental health amidst competition pressures.

The Netflix documentary about American gymnast Simone Biles ranks as the second most-viewed title in their Top 10 list of programs.

The documentary titled “Simone Biles’ Ascent” made its debut last month, offering an insight into the athlete’s journey. Starting from her participation at the Tokyo Olympics held in summer 2021, where she stepped back from several events to focus on her mental well-being, it follows her path towards the Paris Games. So far in the team, all-around, and vault events, she has claimed three gold medals in the Paris Games.

Since its premiere on Netflix on July 17, the four-part documentary by filmmaker Katie Walsh has been fluctuating within the Netflix Top 10 list.

As a gamer, I’m pumped about the trailer for “Simone Biles Rising”. It takes me back to the beginning of her incredible journey in gymnastics, showcasing young Simone’s first steps into this world. But it’s not just about her athletic life; it also delves into her personal story, revealing glimpses of her wedding with American football star Jonathan Owens. Can’t wait to see more!

Simone Biles shares thoughts about the strange sensation she felt prior to the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, acknowledging it wasn’t quite normal. She expresses gratitude towards those close to her for supporting her as she made her way to the Olympics in Paris this year.

In other news on Netflix, it’s been revealed that the storyline of character Seong Gi-hun will conclude in the third and last season of “Squid Game.”

Before the second season debuts on Netflix on Boxing Day this year, the show has already been renewed for more episodes early on. In a post on Netflix’s official US Instagram account, the series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk shared details about when the series is expected to conclude.

“Three years have passed since the worldwide acclaim of season 1, and an array of unexpected occurrences unfolded, as penned by Hwang.”

“The first day of shooting season 2 brought me back to the universe of Squid Game, a thought that left me amazed. It seemed almost unreal. I’m curious, how might it feel for you to return to Squid Game after a gap of three years?”

I eagerly find myself back in the game, just like Seong Gi-hun, having made a solemn vow of retribution at the end of season one. But this time around, it seems that ‘Front Man’ won’t make my quest for revenge an easy feat. Will I manage to keep my promise and overcome this formidable adversary? The anticipation is killing me!

“In the final season of the show, airing next year, the intense collision between their contrasting realms will persist until the very end.”

Simone Biles Rising is streaming on Netflix, with two further episode to follow later this year.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the captivating series, “Squid Game,” and its unscripted spinoff, “Squid Game: The Challenge,” are currently streaming on Netflix. Exciting news! Both shows have been greenlit for a second season. Mark your calendars, because Season 2 of Squid Game is set to premiere on December 26. Can’t wait!
