Selfloss Is an Epic Adventure All About Whales and Magic

As an avid gamer with a soft spot for immersive narratives and unique gameplay mechanics, I find myself drawn to the enigmatic allure of Selfloss, the upcoming epic journey from Maximum Entertainment and Goodwin Games. Having traversed numerous worlds in my gaming escapades, from the oil-powered steampunk realm of Dishonored to the fantastical realms beyond, I am intrigued by the prospect of delving into a whale-worshipping experience.

The developers at Goodwin Games, along with Maximum Entertainment, unveiled Selfloss – a captivating tale set on the theme of venerating whales, which they describe as an “epic narrative voyage.”

In this game, you guide Kazimir, equipped with a mystical staff, through both battles and puzzles. You’re free to traverse the world on foot or by boat, immersed in an environment that combines elements of Slavic and Icelandic folklore. The press release states that your mission is to assist others in overcoming their struggles and sorrow.

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the game “Selfloss” caught my attention immediately. Having played games like Dishonored, which had a whale-worshipping society with technology powered by whale oil, I was intrigued to find out what this new title would bring to the table. From the trailers and descriptions I’ve seen, it appears that Selfloss offers a more fantastical experience, veering away from the oiliness and steampunk aesthetics of Dishonored. As someone who enjoys games that offer unique worlds to explore, I am eagerly awaiting its release to immerse myself in this new universe.

The description reads:

“Make the most of this new lease on life and aid those afflicted by the malicious Miasma disease plaguing the world. Seek tranquility and carry out the Selflessness rite.”

Selfloss is launching on 12th September, on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC.
