As a seasoned observer of beauty pageants and a firm believer in the empowerment they provide to young women, I find myself deeply moved by the events surrounding the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA contests this year.

On Sunday, August 4, the Miss USA Pageant returned to its original location in California (since 2007) and took place at the Peacock Theater situated in downtown Los Angeles.

Garçelle Beauvais, a cast member on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, and Keltie Knight from E! News served as hosts for an elaborate stage show. This event brings together 51 Miss USA Division contestants, who will ultimately decide the winner for 2024, as reported by silive.com.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I had the honor and privilege to be among the esteemed judges who crowned the new Miss USA 2024 at a recent competition. Known for my role in Vanderpump Rules, it was an unforgettable experience to contribute to this prestigious event.

Previously, the television personality made an appearance on the red carpet, donning a one-of-a-kind black mini dress with a train, and accessorized with sleek black open-heels sandals.

The garment without sleeves was a combination of long, black strands running in various directions in its upper section, while solid material extended beneath her waist, with a lengthy train trailing many feet behind her as well.

The TV personality elegantly coordinated her outfit, sporting black hoop earrings harmonizing with the top part of her mini dress, and carried a small handbag to hold her necessities.

To complement her entire appearance, the woman from West Covina, California, gathered her lengthy, dark hair away from her face and tied it in a ponytail that stretched to the very end of her back.

Additionally, she was accompanied on the red carpet by Ally Lewber, a well-known figure from the internet, who rose to prominence through her romantic association with James Kennedy, a cast member of Vanderpump Rules. Furthermore, Lala Kent, yet another Bravo series star, joined her as well.

Shay would also cozy up beside her spouse, Brock Davies, as they posed together for a series of pictures during the red carpet events.

Back in 2019, as an Aussie-raised Kiwi with a passion for rugby that runs deep, I crossed paths with the enchanting Shay at a pulsating music festival. Our connection sparked, leading us to embark on a romantic journey barely two months later. Destinations? Australia and exotic Bali, according to Bravo’s reports. Quite the whirlwind romance, isn’t it?

In April 2021, Summer Moon Honey Davies, their first child, was born to Davies and Shay, who already have two children from past relationships each.

Eventually, the couple got married in August 2022 with their daughter as the flower girl.

Instead of posting about her daily life on Instagram, Shay will showcase backstage moments where she gets her final hair and makeup done by her styling crew.

As a die-hard fan of coordination, I, myself, was born with a warm chestnut mane. In the spirit of matching my outfit for an upcoming event, I took it upon myself to transform my hair into a sleek, raven hue. My trusted hairstylist skillfully sprayed my locks black, and I couldn’t be happier with the result!

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share an interesting fact about beauty pageants: In the Miss USA competition, there are 51 contestants, each representing their respective states, along with one more remarkable young woman who represents our nation’s capital, Washington D.C.

As a devoted fan and supporter, I had the privilege of attending the 2023 Miss USA pageant where none other than Savannah Gankiewicz, the radiant queen from Hawaii, reigned victorious. In the culmination of this grand event, I was honored to be part of the special moment when she passed on her crown to her worthy successor, marking a beautiful transition in our beloved pageant’s history.

As a former pageant participant myself, I can tell you that being crowned this year’s winner is truly an honor and a dream come true. To represent the United States at the Miss Universe 2024 event in Mexico would be the pinnacle of my journey. The experience of competing on such a global stage, sharing my passions and causes, and making new connections with people from all over the world would be unforgettable. It’s not just about the crown and sash; it’s about using this platform to make a difference and inspire others. I can only imagine the pride and excitement of being selected for such an incredible opportunity.

A few days ago, Addie Carver from Mississippi was named Miss Teen USA 2024, marking a departure from tradition as she was crowned with her tiara by Gankiewicz. This unusual event took place following the resignation of UmaSofia Srivastava from New Jersey in May.

In a unique turn of events, both Noelia Voigt from Utah (formerly Miss USA) and an unspecified winner from another competition have chosen to relinquish their crowns, marking the first instance where title holders from either contest have decided to forfeit their titles.

Initially, Voigt pointed out mental health issues as the reason, as reported by CNN. However, further criticisms against the organizers surfaced later on, while Srivastava explained her resignation as a conflict between her personal values and those of the Miss USA organization.

In her resignation note, she detailed a series of grievances such as the alleged delay in awarding her prize, and an unhealthy workplace atmosphere that ranged from suboptimal leadership to instances of intimidation and mistreatment.

Additionally, Voigt alleged that she experienced sexual harassment during a public event, which she attributed to the lack of a competent chaperone or handler provided by the organization.
