As a mother of three teenagers who have grown up watching animated movies, I must say that the success of Inside Out 2 is truly heartwarming. It’s not every day that you see a film tackle such complex emotions as puberty with such finesse and humor. The movie has already earned over $1.5 billion worldwide, making it the top-grossing film of 2024 so far.

For two weeks straight, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine have maintained their dominant position at the box office, securing the number one spot once again – just as anticipated.

The bromance between two of the  favorite characters earned $97 million over the weekend.

The Deadpool movie, where Deadpool attempts to save his universe with the aid of a Wolverine variant, has grossed approximately $400 million within the U.S. Worldwide, including contributions from co-writer Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy, this film has garnered an impressive $824 million.

The latest Deadpool film has earned more than its two predecessors combined and surpassed Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ ($371.1 million) as the highest-grossing R-rated movie in the U.S., though this figure hasn’t been adjusted for inflation, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Deadpool & Wolverine blew past Twisters for the second week in a row.

In the second spot, the previous top earner at the box office, featuring Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones in a story about tornadoes, garnered a relatively small amount of $22.6 million.

The action movie has earned a substantial amount, over $374.3 million worldwide, during its run so far.

4DX screenings of the thriller movie are being offered by Universal Studios starting from August 30th in selected cities throughout the United States. This initiative aims to generate more excitement for the film.

Debuting in third place was M. Knight Shyamalan’s Trap.

In a rephrased manner, we have: Josh Hartnett and Ariel Donoghue play the roles of a father and daughter. They attend a musical event, but soon realize they’re smack in the middle of something ominous and mysterious.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I recently took a peek at the debut of a chilling movie that’s been causing quite a stir. Critics were split on their opinions, but audiences here in the U.S. seemed to enjoy it, as it managed to rake in an impressive $15.6 million domestically during its opening weekend. Additionally, it earned another $4 million from international viewers, making its global opening weekend total a whopping $20 million!

Despicable Me 4 landed in fourth place.

In the lively tale of a lovable criminal clan, complete with their troop of minions, who were compelled to conceal themselves, they managed to earn an impressive $11.25 million.

Inside Out 2 remains a strong contender eight weeks after its debut.

Over the weekend, I’m thrilled to share that an engaging animated film about navigating adolescence and its whirlwind of feelings became a box office sensation, raking in approximately $6.7 million! It even managed to secure a spot among the top five movies in the US. What an incredible demonstration of the power of storytelling and relatability!

In 2024, the movie featuring Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph’s voices has been the highest-grossing film thus far, raking in over $1.5 billion from global box office sales.

Harold and the Purple Crayon entered the box office race in sixth place.

In this family-friendly movie, Zachary Levi plays the lead role as a literary figure who steps out of his book and into reality. However, he soon finds that there’s much more to life than he initially thought.

The film had a disappointing debut with only $6 million in ticket sales.

In a surprising turn, the eerie film “Longlegs,” featuring Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage, earned $4.1 million but only managed to rank seventh in ticket sales at the box office.

The faith-based The Firing Squad debuted in eighth place.

The movie features Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr., ex-action star Kevin Sorbo, and emerging talent James Barrington portraying three devout Christians who are sentenced to death following their incarceration in a developing nation.

The movie generated $1.6 million during its initial theater run by launching an ad campaign providing church groups with group tickets and inviting affluent viewers to contribute towards fellow moviegoers through a ‘pay it forward’ scheme.

In a surprising turn of events, “A Quiet Place: Day One,” starring Lupita Nyong’o, slipped to ninth position at the box office, raking in approximately $1.4 million. Meanwhile, “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” managed to secure the final spot in the top ten, garnering around $601,000 in ticket sales.
