Gene Gallagher weighs in on THOSE Oasis reunion rumours as he supports his famous father Liam on tour

As a devoted fan with a deep appreciation for the Gallagher legacy, I can’t help but feel a pang of melancholy upon hearing that Gene, the son of Liam and nephew of Noel, doesn’t see an Oasis reunion happening anytime soon. The thought of these musical titans gracing the stage together once more is a dream I’ve held onto for over a decade, much like a treasured Beatles vinyl that skips on my old record player.

Gene Gallagher expressed his doubts that a reunion for the iconic band Oasis would ever be feasible, following speculation about their potential reconciliation.

23-year-old musical prodigy happens to be the offspring of Liam Gallagher, aged 51, and the cousin of Noel Gallagher, who is 57. Regrettably, these two siblings haven’t engaged in conversation for quite some time due to a deep-seated rift between them.

In 2009, Oasis, the band known for their hit Wonderwall, disbanded after an altercation among the bandmates (Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll) occurred backstage.

Gene, son of All Saints vocalist Nicole Appleton, is part of an unsigned group named Villanelle. They had the opportunity to accompany Noel on tour, and frequently engage in humorous discussions with his sister Anais regarding the possibility of their father rejoining his former band.

In an open conversation, I shared with The Sunday Times, “We share lighthearted banter regarding our unique familial dynamics, but we avoid delving deeper into certain matters. Both of us understand the idiosyncrasies of our respective fathers, and that’s one thing we have in common – we come from a large, joyful family.”

That situation doesn’t involve us at all. Both Liam and Noel are far too intelligent for such a thing to be feasible.

Even though Gene doesn’t have a record label at the moment, he remains optimistic about Villanelle, a band consisting of Ben Taylor on guitar, Jack Schiavo on bass, and Andrew Richmond on drums.

As someone who has spent my entire life immersed in the music industry, I can confidently say that the rise of new bands is always exciting to witness. Recently, a fresh group caught my attention – they formed just this year and had the incredible opportunity to support Liam on tour. However, despite their rapid success, the young lead singer was quick to shut down any speculation about him being a “nepo baby.”

As someone who has spent years honing my craft and building a music career from scratch, I can confidently say that getting a band together is no walk in the park. While some people may assume that it’s easy for me due to my past successes, I can assure you that we are all working hard to earn our stripes. It takes dedication, perseverance, and countless hours of practice and collaboration to create something meaningful and lasting. The music industry is a tough one, and we know that every step we take brings us closer to achieving our dreams, but it doesn’t come without effort.

The Hinge performers eagerly seized the opportunity to take the stage, while Gene reminisced about arriving in a colossal tour bus, stating it was larger than the venue itself.

For several years, Gene has been composing songs, and he remembers his renowned father urging him to join the music industry. However, this advice came with a caveat: only if he proved himself talented enough.

He learned that he was granted an opportunity to perform opening act for his father earlier this year, provided he performed well, as it had been mentioned that anything less might cause disappointment.

Earlier this year, there were strong whispers that Oasis might reunite, with reports suggesting they had clandestinely arranged three performances at Wembley Arena.

However, Liam clarified that he had no knowledge of the alleged plans since he hadn’t been informed about the agreement when speaking with a fan.

Taking to Twitter, one fan asked: ‘Liam is Oasis reunion next year actually happening?’

After that, the musician playfully quipped, “I haven’t heard anyone mention it yet, but perhaps they’re considering a new vocalist, like the one from Queen.”
