Emmerdale’s Sammy Winward ‘cuts off daughter Mia, 19, after she sets up an OnlyFans account to sell racy pics’
As a devoted fan who has followed Sammy Winward‘s journey from Katie Sugden to her recent roles, I find myself deeply saddened by the current rift between mother and daughter. As a 19-year-old who generates an income of approximately £30,000 monthly from selling suggestive content, I found myself in a disagreement with a significant figure in my life four months ago, leading to a complete estrangement not only from that person but also the rest of my family.
Sammy played Katie Sugden in the countryside soap for 14 years, before leaving in 2015.
In reference to our previous conversation, Mia shared with The Sun, “She made some rather hurtful comments, and it was quite distressing.”
‘But I absolutely love my mum, I love all of my family but none of them speak to me now.’

In a nutshell, she mentioned that her typical day involves creating content for filming, posting it online, and handling administrative tasks such as paperwork.
Although I’ve struck gold with my successful enterprise, there’s one area where I’m still struggling to win over: my loved ones. Even my dad, the legendary David Dunn of Blackburn, seems to keep his distance. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but I’m determined to earn their respect and admiration, just as they’ve always earned mine.
Mia added that she values her family and understands their concern, but longs for a time when they might be able to heal and strengthen their bond again.
She determined that OnlyFans isn’t her long-term professional path, yet for now, it provides her with sufficient income to invest in real estate ventures.
In the year 2021, she made an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women together with her mom. During this appearance, she shared that her aspiration was to become an actress, much like her well-known relative.
When the program was broadcast, Sammy admitted that she became a mother at the age of 19.
Via a video call, she expressed her feelings: “I used to think ‘wow, I’ll only be around 36 or 37 when she turns 18.’ Now that I’m almost there, it’s hard to believe because we feel more like close friends than mother and daughter.”
‘Obviously there is the mother and daughter relationship but we’re more like best mates’.
Sammy made a huge comeback to ITV – eight years after quitting Emmerdale to become a teacher.
In The Long Shadow, she was featured, narrating the tale of the pursuit for infamous serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, who was also recognized by his nickname, the Yorkshire Ripper.
Sammy portrayed Sonia, Peter’s character’s wife, and shared the screen with actors Toby Jones, Lee Ingleby, and Katherine Kelly.
