As I delve into the heart-wrenching yet inspiring story of Lottie Moss, I find myself deeply moved by her resilience and strength. Losing her mother at such a young age and taking on the maternal role for her younger siblings is a burden that most could not bear, but Lottie carried it with grace and determination. Her selfless act of putting her family first set the tone for the rest of her life, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to love and care for those around her.
Lottie Tomlinson showcased her expanding belly while going to her book-signing event at Waterstones in Liverpool on Saturday.
A woman, who already has one child and is pregnant with her second child by her partner Lewis Burton, displayed her expanding belly in a black dress featuring a halter neckline.
The influencer, 25, added inches to her frame with a pair of cherry red patent stiletto heels.
To perfectly finish her ensemble, Lottie added a shiny silver watch and donned a pair of golden hoop earrings.
Following Lottie’s recent disclosure about coping with her grief following the heartbreaking loss of her mother and younger sister over a span of three years, she is now embarking on an outing.
In 2016, Lottie’s mother, Johannah, passed away due to leukemia at the age of 43, leaving Lottie, who was only 18 years old at the time.
On a segment airing on Lorraine this coming Friday, the makeup artist shared that in a situation of necessity, she activated her survival instincts and took on the nurturing responsibility for her younger siblings, effectively assuming a motherly role.
Three years on, she endured another heart-wrenching tragedy as her beloved sister Félicité passed away due to an unintended drug overdose in 2019. She confessed that the loss of her mother had never prepared her for this additional grief.
In my personal account, titled “Lucky Girl,” I, Lottie – the little sister of Louis Tomlinson from One Direction – delve into the immensely challenging periods I’ve experienced throughout my life.
She recently revealed that she was expecting her second child with her fiancé Lewis Burton last month, after they welcomed son Lucky in August 2022.
To clarify the relevance behind naming her book “Lucky” and the connection to her mother Johannah, she shared with Christine Lampard that this title is a tribute to her mother’s influence on her life.
Lottie mentioned that even during her illness, she managed to maintain a sense of gratitude for what she possessed. This characteristic has left a lasting impression on Lottie, and she believes it’s an incredibly potent attribute to cultivate throughout one’s life.
A significant method I’ve employed to deal with much of my sorrow has been transforming unfortunate and melancholic events into something positive whenever possible.
‘Even if it’s a small positive, it just helps you kind of cope and get through it.’
She stepped into the maternal position within her family after her mother passed away, as she felt it was crucial to support her siblings Félicité, Phoebe, Daisy, Ernest, and Doris. This early responsibility, taken on at a young age, significantly shaped the course of her life.
Lottie mentioned, “It felt incredibly intuitive to me, and I attribute that to my mom, who passed on this strong nurturing sense to each of us.”
In such situations, it’s only natural to switch into a survival and instinctive mindset. At once, I recognized that the young ones required my presence, and I was determined to help in any way possible to simplify their circumstances.
‘It kind of came naturally, but it was such a life changing experience for me to have that responsibility and I think it really set the tone for everything else that happened in my life.’
Yet, she remembered that losing Félicité shortly thereafter intensified her sorrow, acknowledging the difficulty of starting over from the beginning.
She mentioned that it was extremely challenging to realize we’d need to start from the beginning and tackle everything once more.
When something as substantial as the loss of a parent occurs, one would hardly imagine anything more devastating could follow. However, things took an even more unfortunate turn.
Lottie went on: “It was quite a challenging period for all of us, yet I believe we’ve shown remarkable resilience and have emerged stronger on the other side.”
Based on my own personal experiences with loss and grief, I firmly believe that even during the most challenging and painful times of grieving, it is possible to find happiness again. That’s why I wrote a book – to share this message and help others navigate their own paths towards healing and joy.
Discussing her pregnancy, she enthusiastically shared how excited she and Lewis (age 32) are to add a sibling to their family for baby Lucky.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that our family is expanding! We’re expecting baby number 2, and the anticipation of welcoming a new member into our fold is indescribable. My beloved son, Lucky, is about to become an older brother, and I can hardly wait to see their bond grow and strengthen over time. It’s truly a beautiful journey we embark on as a family, and we’re eagerly looking forward to this new chapter in our lives.
It’s quite a unique experience when you’re introducing a new sibling to your child… At the moment, he’s nearly two and he’s aware that there’s a baby inside me. He even says “baby,” but I don’t believe he fully grasps the concept yet.
Christine inquired from her about the similarities fans have noted between Lucky and his renowned relative, Louis.
Lottie admitted the pair share a strong resemblance and gushed how good an uncle the singer was.
1. “She mentioned that [Lucky] sports a genuine ‘mop-style’ hairdo and has a flair for dressing like a rock star. Consequently, people do draw comparisons, and I can certainly see why. [Louis], on the other hand, is an outstanding uncle. He showers everyone with affection, and [Lucky] adores him.”
Previously, Lottie confessed her remorse that Félicité lacked the assistance she critically required in the years following their mother’s demise. Since then, Lottie has been advocating for additional support to be provided to families who experience loss.
She has joined forces with the bereavement assistance organization, Sue Ryder, to aid individuals navigating the initial phases of mourning.
