Macy Gray, 56, becomes a grandmother: Singer’s daughter Aanisah Hinds, 29, gives birth to baby son SEVEN WEEKS early

In a recent post, Aanisah delivered her baby seven weeks ahead of schedule, but thankfully, the newborn appears to be thriving as Macy gently cradled him later on.

After Aanisah accused Tracy Melvin Hinds, Macy’s son, of striking their mother, it appeared as if there was a lessening of tension between Macy and her daughter. However, Tracy, who is also a singer, refuted the allegation that his son had attacked Macy.
On July 18, Macy excitedly announced her joyful news by uploading a video to her Instagram. The video showed her newborn daughter in the hospital bed moments after her birth.
In this video, the skilled music creator chose to accompany it with a soothing rendition of Nina Simone’s version of “Here Comes The Sun,” a timeless Beatles classic. This melody, fittingly capturing the serene atmosphere, played as the film showed the moment when the daughter received her newborn son, all wrapped and cozy.
“Macy triumphantly announced that she had achieved it! She exclaimed, ‘I’ve made it to GMA!’ I am grateful to God for this immense blessing!” Macy expressed joyfully in her caption. “There are tears of happiness flowing everywhere. Many thanks to our dear family and friends. We’ll see you at the grand celebration! LOVE a million times over.”

It was unclear exactly how long a period had elapsed since her premature baby was born, and when the subsequent video of her was released.
A baby born around seven weeks before its expected delivery date is classified as moderately premature, and such infants are often smaller than average and may face initial struggles with breathing and feeding, as suggested by the Mayo Clinic.
However, Macy’s statement that her grandson was ‘growing fast’ suggested that he was doing well.
In February of this year, it was revealed that Aanisah had applied for a restraining order in Los Angeles, directed towards Tracy Melvin Hinds, who is 28 years old and the son of Macy. This action suggested some underlying family conflicts.
According to documents acquired by Page Six, it was stated in Aanisah’s filing that Tracy had a physical fight with Aanisah’s mother.
In legal documents, Macy asserted that her sibling, Tracy, had been physically aggressive not only towards her but also her partner, following an attempt by both to protect the recording artist, whose real name is Natalie McIntyre.
In this scenario, Aanisah asserted that Tracy often got drunk, and she alleged that he would become aggressive whenever he consumed alcohol.
But Macy subsequently denied her daughter’s claims that tracy had struck her.
In an interview with People, she shared that she and her son have a strong bond, and he would never entertain the idea of hurting her physically.
‘Outside of that, like any family, we have our issues and we’re dealing with it.’
Recently, Macy has been featured on the MTV reality show “The Surreal Life.” During this show, she openly discussed her diabetes management using Ozempic, a medication that’s not only used for diabetes but also recognized for its weight-loss properties.
However, the latest installment of the series detailed an unexpected medical crisis she encountered following an injection of the medication, which caused her difficulty breathing and walking. Fortunately, she has since made a full recovery.
