Christine Lampard forced to apologise as Linda Robson brazenly swears live on Lorraine - and admits 'producers are always in my ear!'

As a long-time follower of these daytime TV shows, I must say that I am thoroughly enjoying the recent hosting shake-up on Lorraine, especially with Christine Lampard stepping up to the plate. With her honest and natural presenting style, she brings a freshness and sincerity to the show that is quite refreshing, much like a cool breeze on a hot summer day.

On the recent episode of Lorraine that aired on Friday, Christine Lampard had to issue an apology due to an unexpected use of inappropriate language by Linda Robson during the broadcast.

On the ITV show, which was temporarily hosted by Christine due to Lorraine Kelly’s absence, a 66-year-old Loose Women star was conversing with her friend and fellow cast member Christine (who is 45 years old).

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share my secret desire – a small role on EastEnders! Though I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of numerous projects throughout my career, there’s one show that has always eluded me, and it’s this iconic soap opera. A cameo appearance would be the cherry on top of my fandom cake!

She mentioned: “I took part in a wartime production named CivvyStreet long ago, and I portrayed Lou Beale’s sister, Flo Beale. On occasion, I subtly suggested my involvement, even having a brief appearance in a small role.”

The suddenly, the Loose Women legend declared: ‘But I’d like to be a real b****’.

Left in awe, I found myself bursting into surprised chuckles as Linda appeared oblivious to her gaffe and carried on, “I’m seeking someone truly vicious because I usually get the pleasant roles, and I yearn for a change – something that goes against the norm.”

Christine interjected to correct her mistake: “Actually, it struck me as quite interesting. I assumed that since it’s so early, she wouldn’t be swearing today, given our agreement.”

‘And then she’s let a little one slip so I’m sorry if anyone doesn’t like that word.’

In a puzzled manner, Linda questioned, “What does that mean?,” prompting the TV personality to humorously reply, “Well, let’s not use any synonyms for those terms.”

On Loose Women, as we often find ourselves saying, “Linda, please avoid swearing,” isn’t that correct? (said by the Lorraine host to viewers)

Linda sheepishly acknowledged, “Yes, it’s true. Nicky, being the producer, is constantly reminding me to watch my language. It’s odd because my mom, who is Catholic Irish, never swore. Somehow, I’ve developed a habit of using inappropriate language.”

Christine then remarked: ‘It’s all those years of Birds Of A Feather – you can’t help it.’

Christine will temporarily take charge of the morning program during summer, with additional stand-in hosts like Ranvir Singh and Louise Minchin, while Lorraine Kelly enjoys a long vacation.

Fans are thrilled about the change in hosting, to the point where they propose renaming the show ‘Christine’ when she’s on air, reflecting their admiration for her as a presenter.

Based on updates from the popular ‘Where Is Lorraine?’ account (previously active on Twitter), it’s been reported that Lorraine, aged 64, has presented 66% or 99 out of 150 shows this year. On the other hand, Christine, who is 45 years old, has hosted a total of 29 episodes.

Ranvir Singh has reportedly fronted 18, and Louise Minchin and Joel Dommett have both hosted two.

Enthusiasts of the ITV show were drawn to social networking sites to express their admiration for Christine’s “transparent” hosting abilities. Some even suggested that the program should undergo a refresh or re-branding.

‘#Lorraine Lovely woman Christine should be renamed this show and get rid of that Kelly.’

Frankly speaking, it seems like they should consider renaming it “Christine” as long as she’s hosting, don’t you think? It’s almost like picturing the opening credits with her name boldly displayed.

“I find #Lorraine more enjoyable when Christine is hosting. She seems more authentic and relaxed.”

‘At this point you might as well call the show ‘Christine’ #lorraine.’

I firmly believe that Christine would be ideal for hosting the show on a permanent basis. She consistently comes across as genuine, authentic, conducts interviews skillfully, and exudes sincerity.

‘#Lorraine This show needs a rename #Ranvir #christine #anyonebutlorraine.’

On Fridays, it could be suggested as “Ranvir” or “Christine”, each with their individual titles. Let’s call it “#Lorraine” for short.
