As a long-time fan of Doctor Who, I must say, the finale left me feeling quite underwhelmed. The reveal about Ruby’s mother was lackluster at best and didn’t live up to the hype that had been building throughout the season. It seemed as though the writers stumbled into a plot hole they couldn’t escape from.

Ncuti Gatwa, known for his role in Doctor Who, is said to be heading towards millionaire status due to his significant part as the timelord.

The 31-year-old actor has recently made his entrance into the BBC’s science fiction show this year. Although the program’s ratings have taken a dip, it’s clear his financial situation is thriving.

It seems that Ncuti Gatwa has reportedly doubled his income to approximately £1.9 million, as stated by The Sun. This new sum is added to the money he previously earned through roles such as his work in the Netflix series “Sex Education.”

The article states that the Rwandan-Scottish television personality received a substantial salary of approximately £700,000, which he paid to himself from the earnings generated by his company, Gemini Moon.

According to a source, securing one of the highly coveted television roles undoubtedly boosted Ncuti’s professional standing and financial potential.

It’s evident from his recent financial reports, but there may be questions about whether his success as a Time Lord has been equally impressive.

The insider remarked: ‘Surprisingly few people are watching the program that was designed as an enjoyable family event. It’s definitely less than expected.’

TopMob has contacted representatives of Ncuti for comment.

In May, Ncuti Gatwa debuted as the renowned time-traveler for the first time. The initial two episodes, released on iPlayer prior to airing on BBC One, garnered 2.7 million and 3.2 million viewers respectively.

However, a week later, the viewing figures rapidly fell to 2.3million.

Although there was a minor increase in viewership for later episodes up to approximately 3 million viewers, the majority of the fourteenth season averaged about 2.3 million viewers.

According to a representative from the BBC, overnight ratings are no longer an accurate representation of viewers watching dramas in today’s on-demand world because they don’t capture everyone who watches at their convenience.

The current season of Doctor Who debuted on iPlayer approximately 24 hours prior to its television airing, and the initial episode has already been watched by more than six million viewers, with viewership still climbing.

As a devoted fan of Doctor Who, I found myself swept up in a whirlwind of emotions back in June when the much-anticipated season finale didn’t quite live up to my expectations.

The highly anticipated season 14 final episode titled Empire Of Death, left Whovians wanting more.

The final chapter, unveiling Ruby’s mother, premiered on BBC iPlayer at midnight on June 22nd, while it aired on BBC One at 6:40 PM.

For eager fans, the prolonged anticipation turned out to be a letdown instead of the exciting unveiling they were expecting.

Enthusiasts of Doctor Who flocked to a platform previously recognized as Twitter, expressing their dismay following the final episodes. They found themselves questioning, “Is that all there is?”

A user expressed their disappointment by saying: ‘The revelation about Ruby’s mother was likely the most disappointing reveal I’ve encountered in this series so far.’

‘I’m sorry but the revelation of who Ruby’s mother was, was lame’.

‘Was that it?’

I’ve come to believe that the enigma about Ruby and her mother was unintentionally left unresolved during this season, a plot oversight they didn’t foresee and didn’t know how to resolve gracefully, as that rather disappointing episode seemed to lack any satisfying resolution.

I must apologize, but the unveiling of Ruby’s mother fell short of my expectations. Despite anticipating a challenging task given the build-up, it turned out to be…

I watched the Doctor Who finale, but I found it quite underwhelming. I had hoped that the mysterious ‘mother’ would turn out to be someone significant, perhaps even River Song, but instead it was just an ordinary individual?

For now, Russell T Davies, the show’s producer, hasn’t announced any decisions regarding the cast for season three.

At San Diego’s Comic Con, the screenwriter joined Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Bobby Brown and shared insights on the upcoming developments for the sci-fi series.

Russell, currently at 62 years old, hasn’t finalized casting choices for the third season because they’re still busy filming the second one.

The screenwriter stated: ‘We’ve completed filming for season two, but there’s still half the work left, which includes several months of post-production. It’s still quite a distance away, so no hasty decisions just yet.’

Ncuti said playing the Doctor is ‘surreal’ and when the host joked he had signed up for the next 10 seasons, he replied: ‘Of course!’.
