Spectre Divide Stress Test is open for everyone: How to sign up
As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming Spectre Divide Stress Test has piqued my interest. With Shroud as Lead Gameplay Advisor, it’s hard not to get excited about this new competitive shooter.
Under the guidance of popular First-Person Shooter (FPS) streamer “shroud,” Spectre Divide is collecting all the attention as Lead Gameplay Advisor. Here’s a guide on participating in the stress test, which will grant you early access to the game!
As a long-time gaming enthusiast who has seen countless titles come and go over the years, I can confidently say that it’s fascinating to observe how trends evolve in the gaming world. It seems like every new game release triggers comments such as “oh, this is just another Counter-Strike clone” or “yeah, it feels like Valorant.” Sometimes, it even brings back memories of when Overwatch was initially called Team Fortress. With the upcoming stress test for Spectre Divide, I can’t help but feel that it has the potential to be the game that others will compare future releases to. It’s a thrilling thought, as it suggests that Spectre Divide could carve out its own unique niche in the gaming landscape and leave a lasting impact on the community.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve recently dived into this fresh competitive shooter that boasts an intriguing mechanic they label “Duality”. In the game Spectre Divide, I find myself commanding not one, but two characters! These characters can be armed with distinct weapons, offering me a unique strategy. For instance, while I’m sniping from one angle, my second character can cover other blind spots, ensuring I stay protected on all fronts.
You can deploy one unit for reconnaissance and potential kills, while another stands ready as backup. Unfortunately, neither can be in action simultaneously. Losing one doesn’t mean game over, as the remaining unit offers a second opportunity to continue the mission.
How to play during Spectre Divide Stress test?
As an enthusiastic supporter of Spectre Divide, I’m excited to share that Stress Tests are a valuable chance for developers at Mountaintop Studios to gain insights into how their servers can sustain a large player community like us. Although the game is still under development, we understand the need for discretion during this stage. However, to ensure our servers can handle the anticipated crowd, they’re planning to offer early access to a select group of players who have wishlisted Spectre Divide on Steam. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I might be one of the lucky ones!
To join the select group participating in the Spectre Divide trial run, it’s essential that you sign up and follow the instructions provided on their official website. The event will occur on August 3rd. Here’s how you can secure early access to the game:
- Open Steam and go to Spectre Divide store page.
- Scroll down and click “Request access” on the “Join Spectre Divide Playtest” section.
- Adding it to the wishlist is optional, but it helps the developers (and may bring some good luck)
- If selected, find the game in your library on Aug. 2 and download it!
