Ryan Reynolds knows why Thor was crying in Deadpool & Wolverine

As a long-time Marvel fan who has witnessed the evolution of these iconic characters from comic books to the big screen, I must say that Deadpool & Wolverine has truly outdone itself! The cameos alone were a delightful surprise, especially seeing Chris Hemsworth as a teary-eyed Thor. It’s not every day you see the God of Thunder shedding a tear over Deadpool!

Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers follow.

Ryan Reynolds has teased the reason why Thor was seen crying in Deadpool & Wolverine.

In the latest Marvel film, Chris Hemsworth portrays one of several notable guest appearances, where Thor, the mighty deity, makes a short appearance in a revised sequence reminiscent of “Thor: The Dark World.”

In an imagined future depicted by the Time Variance Authority, an emotional Thor sheds tears upon the supposed demise of Deadpool. More recently, Ryan Reynolds, the actor himself, has acknowledged this heartfelt scene on his social media platform, now known as X (previously Twitter).

Sharing an image featuring injured Deadpool silencing himself with a finger to his lips, the actor captioned: “Now I understand why Thor was weeping. A secret I can’t undo. #DeadpoolAndWolverine”

Apart from Hemsworth, another prominent Marvel figure, Chris Evans, appears briefly in the film. In this instance, he portrays his former character from Fantastic Four, Johnny Storm, who is also known as Human Torch.

In response to his return, the actor has expressed gratitude on Instagram, saying: “I’m grateful to Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Shawn Levy for allowing me to be involved in this fantastic film! These three are truly outstanding individuals.”

I’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Ryan for bringing everything together so smoothly. It was an absolute delight to portray Johnny once more, and he will forever hold a cherished spot in my memories.

As a gamer, I can’t help but notice another cool appearance – my real-life buddy, Blake Lively, stepping into the role of Lady Deadpool! I’ve been fortunate enough to know her as Wade Wilson’s wife in real life, and it’s fascinating to see how this came about.

In essence, he said, “Absolutely, it was somewhat like a situation where you think, ‘What the hell?’ So, by all means, give it a try. I mean, we’re already there as a group, right? Let’s seize the moment and have some fun.” He shared this sentiment on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.

“Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Yeah, she did love it. And she’s one of the funniest people I know.”

In this game, I stumbled upon some unexpected guest appearances – Channing Tatum as Gambit, Wesley Snipes as Blade, Matthew McConaughey as Cowboypool, Nathan Fillion as Headpool, and Paul Mullin from Wrexham as Welshpool, just to mention a few standouts.

Deadpool & Wolverine is now playing in cinemas.
