This makes her an excellent choice for your team as she offers substantial stun potential, and best of all, she is a free starting unit.

Overview

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I have encountered numerous characters in various games, but none quite like Anby, the mysterious young girl from The Cunning Hares. With her unique abilities and role as a sub DPS stun unit, she has quickly become one of my favorites.

W-Engines

S – The Restrained

⭐ Impact

• When an attack hits an enemy, DMG and Daze from Basic Attacks increase by 6/7.5/9/10.5/12% for 8s, stacking up to 5 times. This effect can trigger at most once during each skill. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
• Anby uses her basic attack a lot in order to deal daze, considering after her third basic, a special basic attack can be unleashed that deals additional daze damage.

S – Hellfire Gears

⭐ Impact

• When off-field, the equipper’s Energy Regen increases by 0.6/0.75/0.9/1.5/1.2 per second. When using an EX Special Attack, the equipper’s Impact is increased by 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% for 10s, stacking up to 2 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
• Anby’s EX Special is her main source of stun damage, especially using it after her third basic attack, meaning with this gear, she’ll be able to use it a lot more often.

A – Demara Battery Mark II

⭐ Impact

• Increases Electric DMG by 15/17.5/20/22/22%. When the equipper hits an enemy with Dodge Counter or Assist Attack, their Energy Generation Rate increases by 18/20.5/23/25/27.5% for 8s.
• As Anby’s signature W-Engine, this increases her Energy Regen by a considerable amount after a dodge counter, which in turns allows her to dish out more EX Specials, which deals good electric damage that is boosted by this W-Engine. As her dodge counter deals electric damage, Demara will also boost that damage as well.

A – Six Shooter

⭐ Impact

• The equipper gains a Charge stack every 3s, stacking up to 6 times. When launching an EX Special Attack, consumes all Charge stacks, and each stack increases the Daze inflicted by 4/4.6/5.2/5.8/6.4%.
• This is suited for a team that won’t have Anby out that often, but when you switch to them, she will be able to unleash her EX Special in order to increase the around of Daze inflicted by a lot, making it easier to inflict that crucial stun when you need it.

Disc Drives + Stats

Option 1 – “Disciplined Daze“

4 Piece Shockstar Disco

(2) Increases Impact by 6%.

(4) Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks, and Dodge Counters, inflict 20% more Daze upon the main target.

2 Piece Swing Jazz

(2) Energy Regen increases by 20%.

Main Stats: IV. Crit DMG or Crit Rate | V. Electric Damage | VI. Impact

Sub stats in order of priority:

1.  Crit Rate or Crit DMG | 2. ATK% | 3. ATK | 4. Anomaly Prof

As a long-time fan of this game, I find that pairing Anby with her signature W-Engine, Demara Battery Mark II is a fantastic combination, particularly when it comes to countering dodges. From my personal experience, this setup significantly boosts Anby’s energy regeneration and adds an extra 20% Daze effect with Shockstar Disco. To top it off, the addition of Swing Jazz further enhances her energy regeneration abilities, enabling her to use more EX Specials, dish out even more electric damage, and inflict greater amounts of Daze overall. I’ve found that this setup makes Anby a formidable force on the battlefield!

Option 2 – “Trained Thunder“

4 Piece Thunder Metal

(2) Increases Electric DMG by 10%.

(4) As long as an enemy in combat is Shocked, the equipper’s ATK is increased by 28%.

(2) Energy Regen increases by 20%.

The increased electric damage and enhanced attack when an enemy is shocked make it ideal for team compositions that primarily consist of or are mono-electric in nature. This setup ensures that the enemies are more frequently shocked, which in turn allows Anby to unleash his full potential as a formidable damage dealer. In my gaming journey, I’ve found that having a well-rounded understanding of each character’s unique abilities and their optimal team compositions can make all the difference in winning battles and progressing through levels with ease.

Skill Priority

ALWAYS PRIOIRITZE CORE SKILL FIRST!!!

1. Prioritize enhancing Anby’s ability to inflict daze with her Special Attack and EX Special, as these moves also boost her speed following the third hit of her standard attack, thereby improving her overall stun potential.

2. This will be Andy’s main attacks, so max this alongside her Special.

3. As a fan, I can’t emphasize enough the significance of Anby’s Additional Ability, particularly her dodge counter, which forms a crucial component of her gaming arsenal. Whether you’re focusing on a specific build or not, dodge counters are indispensable, enhancing abilities like Shockstar Disco and Demara Battery Mark II. Prioritizing these after your basic and special moves should be a must for optimal gameplay.

4. In terms of priority, let Anby’s ultimate and chain attack deal comparable damage and cause stun, just like her dodge does.

While her ability excels at stunning enemies, it is rarely needed, so prioritize other upgrades first.

Bangboo

S – Plugboo

As a gamer, when I’ve got two or more Electric-Attribute characters in my team, the Bangboo Chain Attack causes a whopping 100% increase in Anomaly Buildup!

As an enthusiast, I’m thrilled about the addition of Plugboo to our electric mono squad, especially since Anby is part of the team. With Plugboo on board, we can effortlessly electrify our adversaries, which significantly boosts our ability to exploit Thunder Metal when Anby is in action. It’s a game-changer!

S – Amillion

Characteristic Feature – Boasting Cunning Hares in your team enhances the Bangboo Chain Attack’s damage, with the boost reaching a maximum of 45%, when there are less opponents present during battle.

For a Free-to-Play “Starter” team, this Bangboo is exceptional. It significantly boosts your damage when you execute a complete chain attack sequence.

A – Electroboo

Characteristic Feature: If you have at least 2 characters with an Electric attribute in your team, the Bangboo Chain Attack will cause a 60% increase in Anomaly Buildup.

A weaker version of Plugboo, but will still greatly increase the rate of applying shock to enemies.

A – Avocaboo

As a gamer, when I’ve got at least one Support character in my squad, my Active Skill heals me up by an additional 20%, and I get an extra three charges for it!

If your Free-to-Play (F2P) team doesn’t include Amillion, it would be a wise choice to consider an alternative option since healing in this game is scarcely available. In the late game, this versatile character will prove increasingly valuable for the less than exceptional F2P team.

Optimal Team Comps

Team 1 – Electric

In this electric team composed of Anby, Grace, and Anton, each member utilizes their unique skills effectively. Specifically, Anby’s ability, Dodge Counter, grants an additional 7.2 Energy when she strikes an enemy, which can be activated every 5 seconds. This is particularly advantageous as both Anby and Anton are strengthened by attacking shocked enemies – Anby with her thunder metal, and Anton whose skill set benefits from such attacks. While Anton may not be the optimal electric DPS, he serves his purpose for now. However, it’s worth noting that Grace is a valuable and permanent addition to the team.

Team 2 – Starter Team (F2P)

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that this complimentary team consisting of Anby, Nicole, and Ben is quite the catch! Anby, being a stun specialist, offers a solid defensive foundation, while Nicole provides essential support and enemy grouping abilities. Lastly, Ben’s AOE and ranged physical attacks make him an excellent main DPS option.

Overall Thoughts

In Zenless Zone Zero, Anby serves as your initial character to command during your adventure. If developed appropriately, she becomes an effective stun unit. Her abilities promote higher energy regeneration, allowing for more frequent use of her EX Special and faster execution when used following the third basic attack. Although she may not offer the highest stun among all characters, she is a reliable choice for electric teams requiring a stun unit. If you’re building an electric team or need a stunner, Anby could be worth investing in.
