Skeleton Crew: We officially know Jude Law's character name thanks to a LEGO set

As a lifelong Star Wars enthusiast who has witnessed numerous merchandise leaks and plot spoilers over the years, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon learning the official character names from LEGO’s Skeleton Crew set. On one hand, it’s exciting to finally have confirmation on Jude Law’s character and the kid main characters’ names, but on the other, I can’t help but roll my eyes at yet another premature reveal.

After months of speculation and guesswork, I finally got my hands on the latest LEGO Star Wars: Skeleton Crew set that just hit the shelves at Target. To my delight, it revealed the character name of Jude Law – yes, you heard it right! The initial blurry image from a previous leak had left us all guessing, but now we have official confirmation. It’s been an exciting ride for LEGO and Star Wars fans alike!

According to Yakface’s latest tweet, there are now revealing images of Jude Law’s enigmatic character, who is believed to be a Force user. We can also identify the names of the main child characters: Wim, Fern, KB, and Neel. Jude Law’s character will be named Jod.

An LEGO set comes with an authentic name for its ship, referred to as “The Skeleton Crew’s Onyx Cinder.” For those who’d like to construct it personally, it’s priced at $139.99 in Target stores.

The team behind “Skeleton Crew” on Disney+ has faced several merchandise leak issues, which is more common for this show than others. An Official Ingot merchandise item was the source of our initial glimpse into the four child characters. Such occurrences are not new; Star Wars’ plot twists have often been revealed through merchandise before the movies even premiered. For example, the fate of Qui-Gon Jinn being revealed in “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace” was leaked through the soundtrack release, featuring tracks titled “The High Council Meeting and Qui-Gon’s Funeral.”

As a fervent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that this year, we’re in store for a new Mandoverse series! The story revolves around four young explorers who get mysteriously stranded in the cosmos, embarking on a journey to return home. With a nostalgic nod to the iconic Amblin films of the 1980s, like The Goonies and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, director Lee Isaac Chung assures us that this show will be a fresh take, offering an engaging experience for all ages.

1. It’s fascinating to ponder how Skeleton Crew might mesh with the Mandoverse, given that Grand Admiral Thrawn has resurfaced in Ahsoka, and there are remnants of the Empire wandering the galaxy in The Mandalorian. Could these elements present hurdles for the young characters trying to find their way back home?

We’ll have to wait and see at the end of this year to find out when the show arrives on Disney+.
