Love Island legend Olivia Attwood reveals what she really thinks about Joey Essex and the dating show signing celebrity contestants after TOWIE star sparks furious backlash

As someone who has experienced the challenges of a long-distance relationship firsthand, I can truly appreciate the strength and support that Olivia Attwood and her partner Bradley Dack have in each other. Their dedication to pursuing their individual goals and dreams, despite the time apart, is commendable. It’s not an easy feat, but they make it work.

Olivia Attwood supports Love Island bringing famous faces into the villa and believes Joey Essex should not be criticized for joining the program.

33-year-old, once an Islander, shared with TopMob that reality TV celebrities are bold, and as a seasoned pro, Joey (age 34) turned the ITV2 series into an unforgettable experience after his surprising appearance on stage.

The controversy surrounding Joey’s past behavior towards Grace Jackson and his argumentative attitude towards other Islanders isn’t expected to harm his long-term career prospects, according to her belief.

She believes some people are unfairly calling for the cancellation of the former TOWIE star, as he used to amuse audiences by taking risks on the dating show.

In an exclusive conversation with TopMob, Olivia shared: “Joey was bold; he dared to act spontaneously and take chances, which are the qualities that create captivating entertainment.”

I’ve been an avid fan of “Survivor: Island of the Idols,” and I must admit, Joey stood out as a truly exceptional contestant. Regardless of personal preferences regarding his style, he brought a wealth of experience to the game from his past reality TV ventures. There’s been discussion about his potential removal from public view… But why, you ask? Well, he stirred things up a bit during his stint on a reality television program.

Joey has been around for a long time, and despite some people not liking him on Love Island, I don’t believe his career is coming to an end. He’s proven his worth through the years with his dedication and ambition. In my opinion, he’s far from being canceled.

I was heartbroken as Joey and I watched from the sidelines during the Love Island final on Monday night. Sadly, some past contestants chose to end things between him and Jessy Potts, leading to Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan taking the winning spot and the £50,000 prize instead.

After anticipating that Welsh runners-Ciaran Davies and Nicole Samuel would make it to the finals, Olivia was taken aback by the outcome.

Based on my personal experience, I used to hold the same belief as she did, assuming that Ciaran and Nicole had a strong chance of winning due to their past successes. However, after going against my initial inclination and deciding to watch the series from its start, I became completely engrossed in it. Ronnie Vint’s involvement was merely a catalyst for my investment in the competition.

2017 saw Olivia reaching the finale of Love Island on her own accord. She ended up taking third position alongside her ex-partner Chris Hughes.

She said: ‘Over the last seven years, I have been working away and trying to earn my badges.

I’ve produced several documentary projects and a reality TV show, refining my skills along the way. Appearing on Loose Women presented a significant learning experience for me.

1. When the team suggested this concept to me, I was taken aback… As they detailed the program, I responded, “Well, it seems you require a host,” to which they replied, “Yes, indeed, you!” It struck me then, “Wow, this is massive!”

1. Due to their busy work schedules (Olivia’s and her husband Bradley Dack’s), they ended up being apart for more than three weeks straight.

Olivia’s 2.2 million Instagram followers took notice when they didn’t see any new posts from her account. They grew curious about how the happily married couple, who got hitched in June the previous year, were doing.

According to Olivia, their time spent apart has made their relationship even stronger. She feels incredibly encouraged by Bradley’s unwavering support, jokingly adding that he hasn’t yet grown bored of her presence on television.

In our initial wedding year, he participated in football at Sunderland while I worked on filming for four distinct shows. It was an extremely challenging period as the time we spent together was severely restricted.

Together, we as a couple have a strong bond. I’m just as committed to him as he is to me. We’re currently focusing on our individual dreams and aspirations, which requires us to spend a significant amount of time apart. I won’t sugarcoat it – it can be quite challenging.

Without over-generalizing, the qualities I find in Brad as my partner are quite unique. He not only offers support when I need it but also encourages me to strive harder, which isn’t common in all partnerships.

As a lifestyle expert, I might rephrase that as follows: “From my perspective, constantly hearing and seeing oneself, through podcasts, commercials, and everyday life can feel overwhelming to me. However, my partner never seems to tire of it; instead, he remains supportive and understanding. I’m deeply grateful for his unwavering encouragement.”

Essentially, this event aims to help people expand their social network.
