Fortnite FNCS Major 3 Grand Finals: All winners and best storylines

As a dedicated Fortnite gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Peterbot and Pollo continue to reign supreme as the world’s best duo. Their back-to-back victories in the FNCS Major 3 Grand Finals were nothing short of impressive. The tension was palpable during those final moments, with Clix and Veno leading after day one, but Peterbot and Pollo’s determination and skill ultimately paid off.

Peterbot and Pollo are STILL the best world’s best Fortnite duo.

After two grueling days in the 2024 Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Major 3 Grand Finals, the dust has now settled. This tournament wasn’t just about the massive $2 million prize money up for grabs. It was also the last chance for players to secure a spot at the $2 million FNCS Global Championship LAN in September. With the pressure mounting, here is a recap of how the FNCS Major 3 Grand Finals unfolded.

All FNCS Major 3 2024 winners

  • Europe – Vic0 and Flickzy ($170,000)
  • North America – Peterbot and Pollo ($140,000)
  • Brazil – K1nG and Fazer ($20,000)
  • Middle East – Kalgamer and 7man ($20,000)
  • Asia – Koyota and xMipoli ($20,000)
  • Oceania – Aspect and Cazi ($16,000)

Now, let’s cover some of the best storylines to come out of the weekend.

Peterbot and Pollo achieve back-to-back FNCS victories

In Chapter 5 Season 2’s fifth episode, it was widely expected that top NA players Peterbot and Pollo would emerge victorious from FNCS Major 2. They lived up to expectations, securing five wins out of twelve games and setting a new record with their impressive 1,092-point total. However, although Peterbot and Pollo were still strong contenders for another win in Major 3, the excitement surrounding their potential success was not as intense.

On the first day, Clix and Veno topped the leaderboard, but Major 2 Champions put up a strong fight on the second day, winning one game and averaging an eighth place finish. The standings remained close until the final moments when Peterbot and Pollo secured fourth place in the last match, ultimately claiming back-to-back FNCS victories.

Clix and Veno lead on day one but ultimately finish in fourth

It’s open knowledge that Fortnite star Clix has made significant achievements during his long-running career. Nevertheless, the coveted Axe of Champions and the title-defining FNCS victory have yet to be his. Following his separation from former duo EpikWhale, Clix joined forces with top European player Veno upon his relocation. The Fortnite sensationals, Clix and Veno, took the lead at the conclusion of FNCS Major 3’s first day.

Unfortunately, the pair’s performance didn’t translate into higher rankings as they gradually dropped down the leaderboard. By the end of it all, they ended up in fourth place. Although Clix hasn’t secured his first win in the FNCS yet, he will get an opportunity to do so at the FNCS Global Championship in September on LAN.

Acorn and Cold mount an incredible comeback on day two

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve seen my fair share of impressive duos in Fortnite, and none compare to the unbeatable team of Acorn and Cold, who have proven themselves time and again, except for Peterbot and Pollo. Major 1 crowned them champions with their consistent performance, while they finished a commendable fifth place in Major 2. However, day one of Major 3 took us all by surprise as the duo only managed to score a disappointing 76 points, leaving them in the unfamiliar 31st position. But true champions rise to the occasion, and Acorn and Cold did just that on day two.

Over the last six matches, the duo of Acorn and Cold achieved two first-place finishes and significantly improved their ranking by 28 places on the leaderboard. They’re certainly among the top contenders with a good chance of winning the Fortnite Champion Series Global Championship.

Vico and Flickzy maintain day one lead to win Fortnite FNCS Major 3

Many European soccer stars have moved to North America for Major League Soccer, leaving the European scene less vibrant. However, the top remaining players put on an impressive show, headed by first-time champions Vico and Flickzy. To secure their title as Major 3 Champions, this duo needed to keep up their strong performance from day one.

It was no shock that the other leading European teams put up a strong fight. Tiny and Chap, Major League Champions twice over, proved to be Vico and Flickzy’s toughest rivals. They managed to win two matches in the final six games but ended up trailing behind Vic0 and Flickzy by 11 points.

Kalgamer and 7man continue Middle East dominance

A compelling case exists that Kalgamer and 7man are the top Fortnite duo outside of Europe and North America, based on their accomplishments in Chapter 5. In Major 1, they emerged victorious; they came in second place in Major 2; and most recently, they claimed another win in Major 3. Having already qualified for the Global Championship, an additional victory was not necessary but a remarkable achievement nonetheless.

On the first day, they went from being in 7th place to taking the lead on the second day, consecutively winning matches and accumulating a total of 908 points. It’s intriguing to observe how Kalgamer and 7man measure up against other competitors at the Global Championship in Fort Worth, Texas.
