EastEnders legend is worlds away from Walford as he debuts striking transformation for blockbuster Hollywood movie

As a lifestyle expert and avid fan of both soap operas and science fiction, I couldn’t help but be thrilled by the news that Rob Kazinsky, former EastEnders star, has joined the cast of the new Star Trek movie. Having grown up watching EastEnders and being a self-proclaimed Star Trek enthusiast, this role represents not only a professional achievement for Rob, but also a dream come true.

EastEnders legend Rob Kazinsky has landed a huge role in the new Star Trek movie. 

I, an avid fan, can hardly contain my excitement as I share this news. The beloved actor, now 40, who graced our screens as Sean Slater on EastEnders from 2006 to 2022, has been unveiled as a new addition to the Star Trek: Section 31 ensemble.

The BBC actor expressed great excitement, stating that appearing in the film is the most thrilling experience of his life because he’s an avid fan of science fiction shows.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be joining forces with Michelle Yeoh and Omari Hardwick for an exciting new project – a film linked to the popular Star Trek: Discovery series! Isn’t it fantastic to be part of such an intriguing storyline?

As an obsessed Star Trek fan, I can’t contain my excitement about the latest addition to the Star Trek Universe produced by Alex Kurtzman. But here’s the thing, my fellow trekkies, Rob’s role in this new production is still a mystery to us all. He hasn’t given us any juicy details yet, leaving us eagerly waiting for more information. Can’t wait to find out what he’s up to!

Using Instagram to share wonderful news, Rob expressed: “Once again, a dream job call! You all know my deep-rooted love for Star Trek. I practically have every line memorized from each episode.”

‘So to be joining the Trek universe is one of, if not the greatest moment of my professional life.

‘Also, I met @jonathansfrakes this morning for the second time. AND he knew my name!

I’m thrilled to be part of this remarkable cast including Omari Hardwick, Kacey Rohl, Sam Richardson, Sven Ruygrog, and Humberly Gianna, not forgetting Michelle Yeoh. We’re going to make something special together!

In a second post, Rob shared the trailer of the movie and said he is ‘proud’ to be a part of it. 

As a passionate lifestyle expert, I’ve always been drawn to the captivating world of Star Trek since my younger years. For me, it’s a tie between Next Generation and the Original Series when it comes to favorites. Star Trek serves as a beacon of moral guidance in an uncertain future, a stark contrast to the fallible and often dismal present we live in.

I’m thrilled to be involved with such an amazing team, igniting a fresh journey of exploration for all of us in a new world of trekking.

Sean left EastEnders in 2009 after three years, and then returned to Walford in 2021. 

After receiving a request for assistance from Jean (Gillian Wright), who had recently reached out regarding Stacey’s (Lacey Turner) new spouse Eve (Heather Peace), he arrived on the scene not long after.

Rob made a short return to the UK; he looks forward to repeating this trip from his California residence in the future.

Previously, he shared that this year marked his first opportunity in years to travel to the UK and reunite with his family due to the global pandemic and a challenging work schedule. While preparing for his trip, he reached out to Kate Oates, the boss of EastEnders, by sending her an email.

In simpler terms, I reside in Los Angeles, and under favorable circumstances, I make it a point to visit my family annually, if not more frequently. So, I figured, Sean could do the same – drop by for a cup of tea.

I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Kate on several projects over the years, and when she mentioned that she was in London for only a day, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to work together once again. So, I suggested we write a scene, and I promised to drop by in the morning. But I didn’t want to limit our collaboration to just this one occasion. Every time I find myself in the UK, I hope to make time for another session with Kate. Her enthusiasm and organizational skills were truly impressive as she rallied her team and made it all come together. It’s always a pleasure to work with such a dedicated and passionate individual!
