Christina Hall’s ex-husband Ant Anstead surfaces in rare sighting… after she broke her silence on divorce from ‘insecure’ Josh Hall
As someone who has followed Christina El Moussa’s public journey, I cannot help but feel deeply saddened by the latest developments in her personal life. Having built a successful career and seemingly happy family with Tarek El Moussa, it is heartbreaking to witness their marriage crumble before our eyes.
Ant Anstead, Christina Hall’s former spouse, made a seldom appearance in Newport Beach, California, this past week during her ongoing divorce proceedings with Josh Hall.
In 2018 at Newport Beach, Ant (aged 45) and Christina (aged 41) made marriage promises to each other. The subsequent year brought the arrival of their son, Hudson, who is now four years old.
In the end, they went their separate ways in the year 2020. Their divorce was officially completed in June 2021. Not long after, it became public knowledge that he had begun dating Renee Zellweger around that time.
At the same time, Christina continued her relationship with Josh, who transitioned from being a police officer to a realtor. In October 2021, they quietly got married in secrecy.
Only about two weeks have passed since Christina and Josh initiated their divorce proceedings. Recently, Ant was seen enjoying a laid-back excursion in sunny Southern California.
The British TV host flaunted his well-defined body in a snug black T-shirt and a pair of gray Fossil trousers, accessorized with flip-flops and a watch.
For 12 years, Ant was married to Louise and together they had two kids. They parted ways in July 2017.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I first saw Christina on HGTV’s Flip or Flop, starring alongside her then-husband Tarek El Moussa. Together, they captured my heart and my imagination as they transformed houses into dream homes for lucky families. With two beautiful children to boot, I became an instant fan, obsessed with their flipping success!
On New Year’s Day 2018, Ant and she made their relationship Instagram-official. Three days prior to Christmas that same year, they exchanged vows at their residence in Newport Beach.
Based on my personal perspective and experience, I believe that social media can be a double-edged sword when it comes to sharing personal experiences or information. On one hand, it provides a platform for individuals to express themselves freely and connect with others who may offer support or understanding. On the other hand, it can lead to unnecessary drama and public scrutiny, as was the case with Christina’s recent Instagram post about her divorce.
According to reports from Josh’s inner circle, he was deeply shocked when the marriage to Christina came to an end, given his strong commitment to her and their three kids. (Sources: TMZ)
He admitted there were issues in their relationship, but reportedly didn’t expect it to end so dramatically.
According to sources close to the situation, after a heated dispute, Christina chose to no longer engage with him personally and instead spoke to him only through legal representation.

If I were in Josh’s shoes and knew that divorce was imminent, I would have made sure to hire a lawyer right away to protect my interests.
Despite the reports that he was devastated by the end of their relationship and felt like everything had disappeared, he apparently made significant changes in both his personal and professional life to focus on Christina.
Currently, it’s reported that he spends his time in Nashville. He attends church regularly there and takes care of his body by working out at the gym.
Recently, Christina announced that Josh moved $35,000 from her account. In light of this surprising revelation and the news that they filed for divorce last week after almost three years of marriage, she spoke out on Thursday.
I believe that the author’s words suggest a sense of disappointment and surprise, possibly even frustration, as she awaits the expected platitudes from a PR representative. She seems to be implying that she has been blindsided by some unexpected event or situation, and instead of the usual hollow promises of self-improvement and healing time, she is choosing to prioritize her own wellbeing at her ranch. Her tone carries a strong undertone of experience and resilience, indicating that she has faced similar situations before and knows how to take care of herself when needed.
‘Meanwhile I’m over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be,’ the mother-of-three continued.
On a different slide, Christina expressed, “I’ve put in countless efforts to create a good life for myself and my kids. Anyone attempting to undermine that hard-earned success shouldn’t feel proud.”

An insecure man with an inflated ego may attempt to hinder you, but you can still triumph.
For those who may not know, divorces don’t just happen suddenly. There’s usually a tipping point that leads to this significant decision. And this is a deeply personal matter for me…Christina shared with her 1.8 million supporters.
Last week, the TV personality announced a new development on her Instagram stories: they had both filed for divorce from their estranged relationship, with different separation dates mentioned – July 8 according to Joshua and July 7 as claimed by Christina.
According to TMZ, Joshua has asked for alimony payments from the HGTV star, but he isn’t eager to hand over the money himself.
Christina has been through two previous marriages and is now set to experience a third divorce. Her former spouses are Tarek El Moussa, whom she married in 2009 and divorced in 2018, and Ant Anstead, with whom she was married from 2018 until 2021.
Together with El Moussa, she has two kids: Taylor, aged 13, and Brayden, 8 years old. Additionally, she is mother to Hudson, a 4-year-old boy, from her relationship with Anstead.
Just prior to their split, Christina and Joshua agreed to join forces on the upcoming HGTV show in 2025, titled The Flip Off, with Tarek and Heather El Moussa.
After the announcement of his divorce, Joshua finally spoke up by sharing posts on his Instagram Stories on Wednesday.

As he walked through the forest filled with verdant trees, he took a photo from behind himself and posted it online with a prayer hands emoticon at the base of the image.
Christina apparently played a prank or poked fun at her estranged husband by posting a selfie on her Instagram account on Thursday.
In the post’s caption, the media figure casually included a prayer hand emoticon – perhaps alluding to a personal photo he shared the previous day.
Christina’s former spouse, Tarek El Moussa, expressed his perspective during a recent interview with E! News.
As a lifestyle expert, I believe life can present challenges, and sometimes unexpected difficulties arise. It’s disheartening, but I have faith that she’ll make it through this tough time. We’re all in this together, and our role is to offer her our support and encouragement. Life gives us only one chance, so it’s essential we make the most of it by prioritizing our well-being. Whatever she requires from us, we’re here to lend a helping hand.
Christina declined signing a prenuptial accord with Joshua prior to their marriage, as reported by Us Weekly. Now, he’s requesting alimony and an equal share of their marital assets, including the $12.6 million mansion situated in Newport Beach.
After filing for divorce almost consecutively, Christina has recently alleged that her ex-husband moved $35,000 of her funds into his own account.
According to obtained legal papers by ET, the HGTV figure asserts that Josh transferred more than $35,000 from her separate rental earnings into his own account.

In the court documents, she expressed that she requested Josh to explain the source of the funds and return them to her since those particular funds were allocated for covering loans, debts, property taxes, insurances, and upkeep expenses for the rental properties.
The funds originated from Christina’s multiple rental properties scattered throughout Tennessee. It is claimed that Josh managed to acquire them through a text message to the property manager on July 8.
A text message from Josh arrived, saying, “Hi. Regarding June payments, let’s change the recipient account when it’s due, please. Both of us (Josh and his soon-to-be ex-wife) have agreed to this.”
Christina shared that she discovered the transfer on July 21 after seeing a screenshot of the related message in the documentation she submitted.
In her records, she wrote down that there was no interaction between us personally on July 8, 2024. Moreover, I mentioned that I wouldn’t have requested him to transfer funds to me the following day after announcing our divorce.
Additionally, she shared that the property manager complied with her instruction, assuming she had given the go-ahead for the account modification. She then requested and received Josh’s Wells Fargo Bank account information.
In Orange County Superior Court in California, three children’s mother submitted the necessary papers. She asked the judge to make an order for Josh to refund the money.
Furthermore, she aims to have the Newport Beach, California, house they used to own solely for her use.
She acknowledges that the property’s title lists both their names, yet insists that the funds used to buy it were derived from the sale of her house in Dana Point.

Instead of that, let me tell you this: Christina revealed that Josh’s lawyer asked her to preserve ‘evidence from the home cameras without it getting erased’ as per ET’s report.
Christina replied, “I disconnected the cameras to prevent the system from erasing the hard drive. Every time Josh came back to the house, he reconnected them, enabling him to monitor my home and my family. I don’t agree with him having that level of control over our privacy.”
The Flip or Flop celebrity challenged the court’s decision on spousal support payments to her ex-husband, Josh, acknowledging that they might become responsible for such payments and his legal representation costs in the future.
In my opinion, this situation is not complex and involves only basic accounting over a brief span. Consequently, any associated fees and expenses are expected to be reasonably low.
Based on my personal experience as a hard-working mother, I can relate to the constant juggling act between taking care of children and pursuing a career. My days are filled with the joys and challenges that come with both roles. Regarding the situation you’ve presented, I believe that if Josh has his own income, he should not require spousal support from me. This stance is grounded in my belief that each individual should strive for financial independence, a principle which I have applied to my own life.
‘He has sufficient assets of his own to pay his own attorney’s fees and costs. Quite frankly I am shocked and concerned by the fact that he has diverted over $35,000 of my separate property money to his separate account on July 8, 2024.
It’s evident that he claims our separation occurred on the same date, which is July 7, 2024, in his latest allegation. However, this isn’t accurate as the correct date is actually the following day. This explanation sheds light on why he selected that particular day afterward.
After discovering some missing funds, Christina expresses concern about potential hidden financial details from her spouse’s past. To clarify the situation fully, she has decided to undergo a comprehensive forensic accounting review covering our entire marriage.
