Mick Jagger’s girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, 37, shares sweet tribute to the singer on his 81st birthday in cute family snaps with son Deveraux, 8
As a seasoned music journalist who has covered the industry for decades, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing some of the most iconic moments in rock ‘n’ roll history. And none have left a greater impact on me than the enigmatic Sir Mick Jagger.
Melanie Hamrick expressed her affectionate feelings towards Mick Jagger during his 81st birthday, showering him with heartfelt praises.
A former ballerina, aged 37, shared several beautiful photos on social media to mark the singer’s birthday. She appeared in these pictures with their eight-year-old son, Deveraux.
‘Happy Birthday babe !! We love you ❤️,’ she captioned her latest Instagram post.
In this image, Mick and Melanie, clearly enamored with each other, took a mirror selfie. They were both dressed elegantly, and Mick casually placed a hand on Melanie’s waist as they captured the moment.
In a beautifully adorned black midi dress, she embodied elegance and refinement. In contrast, the legendary rock musician wore a suit.

I had the pleasure of witnessing a heartwarming moment backstage. Mick, with a tender expression, held his son’s hand just before they made their entrance on stage.
They stood next to Deveraux in another photo, both of them wearing smiles, as he confidently donned a black Rolling Stones baseball cap.
In an alternate photo, the renowned American choreographer helps Mick fasten his shirt as they prepare for an elegant evening out.
In February 2014, during their respective tours, the famous Rolling Stones musician and the ex-ballerina crossed paths for the first time at one of the Rolling Stones’ concerts.
Melanie wasn’t any closer to the singer until after they had invited her to perform with the rock band in Zurich at a later date.
For the past ten years, they’ve been contentedly dating without being married, and in December 2016, they welcomed a new addition to their lives named Deveraux.
On Thursdays, the lovestruck pair drew attention to themselves with an energetic performance at the Prelude To The Olympics 2024 event by Louis Vuitton in Paris.
At the red carpet of the event, Mick amused onlookers by making silly faces and waving his hand dramatically.

He donned a black suit adorned with flowers, teaming it with an untucked, white shirt devoid of a tie.
Mick wrapped an arm around Melanie, who wore a sleeveless black dress.
The mother’s dress, adorned with golden accents, featured a lined hem at the bottom that ascended along the side.
At the glamorous Louis Vuitton event, Spanish artist Rosalia attended with her partner Jeremy Allen White.
Other big names in attendance were Serena Williams and actresses Zendaya and Charlize Theron.
After wrapping up their Hackney Diamonds Tour in Missouri, the event follows Mick and The Rolling Stones.
Hackney Diamonds promoted their long-awaited original studio album from 2023, titled “Hackney Diamonds.”
While on tour, The Rolling Stones faced criticism for removing the song “Brown Sugar” from their performances, with some people suggesting they had become overly politically correct (or “woke”).
The song has sparked debate due to its portrayal of slavery and an intimate connection with a Black woman.
After the recent assassination attempt on Donald Trump, who was running for president for a second time, the Rolling Stones added lyrics about presidential assassinations in one of their well-known songs not long after the event.
In the iconic 1968 song “Sympathy for the Devil” by the Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger sings, “I called out your name: ‘Who killed the Kennedys?’ But you and I are the ones to blame.”

During the final three concerts of their Hackney Diamonds tour in the US, which occurred after the Trump shooting on July 13, the song’s lyrics were noticeably missing when he performed it.
At concerts in Los Angeles, Santa Clara (California), and Ridgedale (Missouri), Mick omitted the third verse of the infamous song entirely during live performances, avoiding the portion that mentions the Kennedy assassinations.
Instead of the third verse, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones take the lead with an instrumental interlude.
In the 1968 original version of the song, it posed the question ‘who was responsible for killing John F. Kennedy?’ However, after the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy in the same year, Mick Jagger changed the lyrics to include a plural form.
