Wicked Little Letters is now available to watch on Netflix
As a huge fan of British cinema, I couldn’t be more thrilled that “Wicked Little Letters” is now available to stream on Netflix in the UK and Ireland. This dark comedy based on real-life events has left me in stitches since its cinema release.
Wicked Little Letters has become available to watch on Netflix.
As a gamer, I’d put it this way: In real life, there was a scandal between two neighbors, Edith and Rose. For me, things took a turn when I started receiving some pretty nasty, anonymous letters. I was certain they came from Rose.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that just a few short months following its cinema premiere, Netflix has graciously made the movie available for subscribers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The book “Wicked Little Letters” was generally well-received when it came out, with a favorable rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes based on critics’ reviews.
The movie is directed by Thea Sharrock and boasts an impressive ensemble of actors such as Timothy Spall, Anjana Vasan, Joanna Scanlan, Hugh Skinner, Gemma Jones, Malachi Kirby, Lolly Adefope, and Eileen Atkins.
Earlier this year, Digital Spy had a conversation with Colman about producing the film. She confessed that using profanity during the process was therapeutic for her.
She remarked, “From a young age, you’re often warned that it’s wrong, but it doesn’t cause harm, unless aimed at others. However, isn’t the reality that it does inflict harm on people instead?”
The star explained, “It feels liberating. Imagine standing atop a hill and freely voicing your thoughts. You’ll feel unburdened. Have you ever hit a punching bag? The relief after is quite something. It’s a form of release called catharsis.”
I’ve gone through various stages in my life where finding just the right words to express my emotions was a challenge. But then I discovered the power of swear words. I’m not talking about using them recklessly or to offend others, but rather in moments of genuine frustration, anger, or excitement.
Buckley added: “Yeah, everyone should have a good swear.”
Colman also admitted that she “almost never” swears in anger in real life.
Wicked Little Letters is available to stream now on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.
