Seven months into our marriage, in May, I found myself filing for divorce. The start of what would become a lengthy and contentious legal process, as documented in the court records.

On May 23, 2024, Billy Ray asked Firerose to leave their marital home, just the day prior to her scheduled preventative double mastectomy. This procedure was necessary after she was diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene in 2020, which increased her risk of certain cancers significantly. However, due to the circumstances, Firerose has put off her surgery indefinitely.

A few weeks ago, I made a request in court to be allowed back to our shared residence and collect my personal possessions. However, my former spouse has denied me access, making it impossible for me to retrieve my belongings.

According to documents I came across on DailyMail.com, I learned that in the wake of our divorce proceedings, Firerose had committed to vacating the shared space and refraining from making unauthorized visits back.

On May 29, it was arranged for her to pick up the remaining items, but this plan didn’t work out due to Firerose switching lawyers during that period.

According to the records, they tried to arrange a new appropriate date for several weeks following that incident, but on July 12, Firerose was notified that she would be denied re-entry.

According to the letter mentioned, the wife’s untrustworthiness was brought up, along with grievances regarding her supposed pre-marital indiscretions, as expressed by the husband in the motion.

In explaining his position on the motion, Billy Ray referred to an article from Page Six published on July 11th. This piece detailed statements made by Firerose regarding a past incident that led to a two-month imprisonment for her.

I was taken aback and blindsided when I learned about the arrest mentioned in the records. Given my past experiences with [Firerose], I couldn’t help but suspect that there were hidden truths in her account. Consequently, I felt compelled to delve deeper into her statements to uncover any potential deceptions.

Yet, texts obtained by DailyMail.com seem to tell a different story. They suggest that the country star was part of discussions where his wife mentioned the occurrence explicitly.

In a November 2023 group chat, Billy Ray, his spouse, and Adkins exchanged messages about a fresh song idea. This conversation revealed that the new composition was influenced by Firerose’s past struggles, which included a period of incarceration.

According to court documents submitted by Firerose, Billy Ray cut off her connections with almost everyone in her life except for her AA sponsor whom she continued to communicate with. After a painful duration of only seven months, Billy Ray initiated the divorce proceedings.

In his divorce application, Billy Ray accused Firerose of engaging in unwanted marital behavior as the reason and requested an annulment based on “deception,” without providing specifics about the type of deceit mentioned in the court records.

In the court records submitted against Billy Ray’s divorce plea, Firerose alleges his unstable behavior is attributable to suspected substance use, making him unforeseeable and emotionally turbulent.

Last month, Billy Ray filed documents in court in a timely manner, asserting that it was actually Firerose who was the abuser in their marriage.

In the papers submitted in Franklin, Tennessee last June, Billy Ray asserted that the defendant’s accusations of mistreatment were merely an exaggeration of unfounded complaints, as she had employed the term “mistreatment” to add drama.

The plaintiff admits to expressing strong emotions towards the defendant in May 2024. However, it was the plaintiff who endured both verbal and emotional harm, as well as physical attacks, at the hands of the defendant.

According to an affidavit attached here, Billy Ray’s manager Adkins declared that he observed Firerose speaking disrespectfully and behaving inappropriately towards Mr. Cyrus during the time he represented both individuals.

Adkins went on to state that on one occasion Billy Ray told him, ‘Scott she is hitting me again.’

Billy Ray alleged that his wife, Firerose, made unauthorized charges totaling $96,986 on his credit cards without his consent. He obtained a court order in the previous month, prohibiting her from further usage of his cards and accounts.

For her part Firerose claimed that she felt ‘unsafe’ with him in their Nashville home. 

She admitted that she’s required urgent therapy sessions with her psychologist multiple times, as a result of the profoundly harmful impact the man she used to care for had on her life.
