Apex Legends’ Controversial Season 22 Battle Pass Changes Scrapped Ahead of August Launch

Apex Legends' Controversial Season 22 Battle Pass Changes Scrapped Ahead of August Launch

As a dedicated fan of Apex Legends, I was initially disappointed when I heard about Respawn’s plans to change the Battle Pass system for Season 22. The idea of having to purchase two separate Battle Passes during one season seemed unnecessary and confusing. But then, after the strong backlash from the community, I was thrilled to hear that Respawn had listened to our concerns and decided to restore the ability to get the Premium Battle Pass for 950 Apex Coins at the beginning of the season.

More recently, EA and Respawn had intended to overhaul Apex Legends Battle Passes for Season 22, splitting them into two parts: one at the start of the season and another halfway through. However, due to strong opposition from the gaming community, these proposed alterations have been abandoned.

In their latest update on Twitter, Respawn stated: “Your voices have been heard. Starting with Season 22, you can purchase the Premium Battle Pass again for 950 Apex Coins.” They acknowledged, “We admit we could have communicated and implemented the Battle Pass changes more effectively.”

Starting from Split 2 in Apex Legends Season 22 on September 17, Respawn aims to enhance the worth and enjoyment delivered by the Battle Pass. The new season commences on August 6, with the Premium Battle Pass available through straightforward in-game tasks.

As a long-time fan of battle royale games, I’m always excited to see what new content developers add to keep the experience fresh. Based on my understanding, Apex Legends offers several Battle Pass options, each with its unique perks.
