Celebrity Bake Off star Cherish Finden leaves fellow judges in hysterics after making her debut with a string of X-rated jokes as Joe Wilkinson is crowned Star Baker

Cherish Finden, a judge on Celebrity Bake Off, first appeared on the Channel 4 show in the same episode where Joe Wilkinson won the title of Star Baker.

The popular show was back on Sunday, and Alison Hammond introduced a guest judge who was described as ‘very special’.

Nigella Lawson is joining the show after Prue Leith left after nine seasons.

Cherish wasted no time settling in, quickly making an impression with a series of X-rated jokes.

The first episode featured returning comedians like Joe Wilkinson, Roisin Conaty, Rose Matafeo, Judi Love, Tom Davis, and Jon Richardson entering the tent.

The bakers began with breakfast pastries for the Signature challenge, and Rose impressed the judges enough to receive a coveted Hollywood Handshake.

Cherish especially enjoyed Tom’s dish, commenting that his sausage was ‘really tasty’.

Paul Hollywood replied: ‘I’m sorry?’

Noel Fielding added: ‘You like his sausage?’

‘No, you know what I mean,’ Cherish laughed.

Cherish wasn’t the only one cracking jokes. Alison playfully commented on Tom’s dish, saying, ‘Thanks, Tom – I’d happily eat your sausage all day!’

Cherish then challenged the bakers to make matcha and yuzu biscuits for the Technical challenge, which Jon won.

Nearing the end of the episode, Noel asked Cherish if she had enjoyed her time on the show.

Speaking about Paul, she said: ‘I’ve had a great time. He is a master-baker.’

‘A what?’ Noel Fielding asked.

‘Master-baker,’ Cherish repeated.

‘A couple letters out,’ Noel joked, leaving the cheeky innuendo unmissed.

At the end of the show, Joe was named star baker after wowing the judges with everything he made.

Speaking of his win, he said: ‘Wow, I’m shocked. First person to win the baking twice, wow.

‘I thought there would be more of a party atmosphere.’

Paul explained that Joe deserved to win Star Baker because he performed the most consistently well throughout all three baking challenges.

‘You can tell he’s a decent baker. Very, very good.’

Cherish expressed her excitement about joining Paul as a judge on Celebrity Bake Off, which is raising money for Stand Up To Cancer.

Oh my gosh, she’s just amazing! She was so quick to point out she definitely didn’t forget her tools, but then she explained it’s not just about getting everything perfectly measured, it’s about making everyone happy and helping a really important charity. Honestly, she just gets it, you know? It’s not about the competition, it’s about the good it does!

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer is available to stream on Channel 4 .
