The Jaguar Three?: Will Jaguar TCS Racing Sweep The Championships in 2024?

The Jaguar Three?: Will Jaguar TCS Racing Sweep The Championships in 2024?

As a seasoned Formula E gamer and avid fan of the sport, I’ve been thoroughly impressed by Jaguar TCS Racing‘s stellar performance this year. The team has shown consistent dominance with drivers Sam Bird and Max Guenther securing early season wins, and more recently, Nick Cassidy and Mitch Evans taking the top spots in Rounds 13 and 11 respectively.

Jaguar TCS Racing has been stellar.

In the sports scene this year, there have been notable victories by athletes like Sam Bird and Max Guenther in the initial races. However, there have been fewer unexpected winners compared to previous seasons.

During the past racing series stretch, Nick Cassidy performed exceptionally well up until his win at Shanghai in round 11. Simultaneously, Mitch Evans demonstrated impressive driving skills during this period. The consistent strong showings from both drivers have significantly influenced the current ranking of each individual and their respective teams.

With Antonio Felix Da Costa mounting a late charge and Wehrlein and Evans still in contention, the race for the championship title is becoming increasingly intense.

Not to mention the battle between Porsche vs. Jaguar this season has been one to watch.

After securing the participation of two renowned brands in the Gen4 era, we’re confident that they’re committed for the long term. However, it remains to be seen if Porsche can prevent Jaguar from dominating the championships during the 2024 racing weekend.

Cassidy Collapse

In Portland, Nick Cassidy fell apart.

Last year’s circuit race winner experienced a forgettable stint between Round 13 and 14 at the US stop. The former champ went from losing the race win in Round 13 to having a disappointing finish in Round 14.

Currently, Cassidy faces intense pressure as he leads by just a 12-point margin going into Round 15 against teammates Evans and Wehrlein tomorrow.

For the Brit, the key will be to defend.

A victory in the race would significantly help Cassidy climb back in the rankings, but he must perform better than the other six contenders to narrow the gap in the championship battle.

Tomorrow’s race will be more about finishing towards the top rather than defend.

If Cassidy wins on Sunday, he will have a larger advantage to defend, allowing for a more focused effort on maintaining his lead instead of competing against other challengers.

Drivers like Evans, Wehrlein, and Da Costa face a challenging task trying to overtake Cassidy during the upcoming races. Team strategies will play a significant role in determining their successes over the weekend.

A clearer strategy for Porsche might emerge, but Jaguar would prefer a situation whereboth their drivers have an equal opportunity to fight for the championship title.

As a devoted fan, I strongly believe that Cassidy has a great chance of surviving and securing one of Jaguar’s titles during this upcoming race weekend.

Clinch All Three?

As a dedicated gamer and fan of Formula E, achieving the feat of clinching all three titles for Jaguar would be an incredible challenge. Many factors need to align perfectly for us to reach this goal.

At the upcoming race, Nick Cassidy and Jaguar TCS have the opportunity to secure both the driver and team titles. Nevertheless, Porsche currently holds a significant advantage in the manufacturers’ standings, making it unlikely for Jaguar to achieve a complete sweep of the championships.

It’s clear that the manufacturer championship would belong to the powerful engine brand instead of a particular team. However, Jaguar teams would likely secure all the podium finishes in this scenario.

It’s almost certain that Jaguar TCS will clinch the team championship. However, securing both the drivers’ and manufacturers’ titles for Jaguar is less clear-cut.

As an avid fan, I’ve noticed Da Costa’s impressive performance in recent races. With London approaching, could it be that Da Costa manages to take the lead in the drivers championship for the 2023-2024 season?

Only time will tell, but a clean Jag sweep may be more tougher than it looks.
