Regarding the rumors of Katie’s infidelity, Carl expressed: “It leaves you feeling despised towards yourself. I was unable to confide in anyone about this humiliation. I couldn’t discuss it with my friends or family. Not a soul.” Therefore, self-hatred ensued.
“I’d wake up next to her and feel an immediate sense of self-loathing, believing she must have been with someone else. This leads to harboring resentment towards myself as I strive for forgiveness and healing.”
