Time Bandits is now streaming on Apple TV+ and we’ve got the episode release schedule so you don’t miss out!
As a huge fan of both Lisa Kudrow and Taika Waititi, I couldn’t contain my excitement when Apple TV+ announced the debut of their new series, “Time Bandits.” Having grown up watching Kudrow in Friends and more recently falling in love with Waititi’s unique directing style in Thor: Ragnarok, I knew this collaboration was going to be a must-watch.
Here it is, here it is! The long-awaited arrival of “Time Bandits” on Apple TV+ featuring beloved actors Lisa Kudrow and Taika Waititi. Ever since Apple TV+ unveiled the show’s trailer, my anticipation has grown. Despite being rated TV-PG, this adventurous series offers something entertaining for all ages to savor.
As a busy working mom, I find it both exciting and inconvenient when streaming platforms release all episodes of children’s shows on premiere day. It’s thrilling because my kids can binge-watch their favorite series at once, but it also means that the content takes over our living room screen for weeks or even months.
Based on my experience as a dedicated fan of this captivating show, I can confidently say that we are in for a treat during the coming weeks! Every Wednesday, without fail, two new episodes will grace our screens, keeping us hooked and eagerly anticipating each installment. To help fellow fans keep track, I’ve shared the episode release schedule below – mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable experience leading up to the grand finale on Aug. 21!
- Episode 1, “Kevin Haddock” – July 24
- Episode 2, “Mayan” – July 24
- Episode 3, “Medieval” – July 31
- Episode 4, “Prohibition” – July 31
- Episode 5, “Georgian” – Aug. 7
- Episode 6, “Mansa Musa” – Aug. 7
- Episode 7, “Ice Age” – Aug. 14
- Episode 8, “Home Again” – Aug. 14
- Episode 9, “Pell-Mell” – Aug. 21
- Episode 10, “Fortress of Darkness” – Aug. 21
The episode titles provide quite a bit of information, I must admit. In simpler terms, “Time Bandits” is a story about an 11-year-old boy named Kevin Haddock who struggles to fit in at school. Unbeknownst to him, his wardrobe serves as a gateway for time-traveling bandits. Kevin ends up accompanying them on their journeys through history.
Some time periods shown earlier include those of the Maya civilization, Medieval times, and the Prohibition Era, among others. The first episode centers around an 11-year-old history enthusiast, who is fortunate to live this knowledge firsthand! However, their adventures are not merely for enjoyment. A villain aims to construct a malevolent universe, and the group of thieves, including Kevin, must work together to rescue his parents and prevent this catastrophic outcome.
In an engaging Apple TV+ production, Kal-El Tuck, Tadhg Murphy, Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, Rune Temte, Charlyne Yi, Rachel House, Kiera Thompson, James Dryden, Felicity Ward, Francesca Mills, Imaan Hadchiti, and Jemaine Clement join forces with Kudrow and Waititi.
Time Bandits premieres Wednesday, July 24, 2024 with the first two episodes on Apple TV+.
