Snowpiercer Season 4: Was Ruth talking about herself when it came to the people of Snowpiercer?

Snowpiercer Season 4: Was Ruth talking about herself when it came to the people of Snowpiercer?

As a long-time fan of Snowpiercer and someone who has followed the struggles of its characters since the beginning, I must admit that Ruth’s perspective in the latest episode of Season 4 really struck a chord with me.

In the opening episode of “Snowpiercer” Season 4, Ruth took on the role of challenging Layton and his ideas instead of supporting him in his efforts to reconnect with their community. Layton was left wondering if Ruth’s arguments were simply a devil’s advocate tactic or if they truly represented her beliefs.

In the beginning of the episode, we joined Ben and Till as they set out to discover the location of the missile launch. Later on, the scene shifted nine months forward to New Eden. The residents of Big Alice had transformed their new settlement into a thriving community. They collaborated to rebuild the collapsed bridge and explore methods for survival.

Layton and others want to reconnect with Snowpiercer

After nine months have passed, I’m excitedly looking forward to Snowpiercer reaching a turning point. We’ll soon arrive at New Eden, where we can begin anew and build a better future for ourselves. It’s important to remember that the train’s resources are finite, so making the most of our time there is crucial.

Ruth noted that some individuals hold strong opinions on this matter. Particularly, the allocation of funds for bridge repairs instead of constructing permanent shelters leaves many without a proper living space inside the train cars.

The people of Snowpiercer are starting to feel bitter about enjoying the benefits of New Eden, seeing as they didn’t have the courage to face the risks earlier.

Ruth didn’t deny they were her thoughts in the Snowpiercer Season 4 premiere

When Layton questioned if those were Ruth’s thoughts, she didn’t explicitly reply. Instead, she indicated to Layton that each person has their own loved ones and missed individuals on the train. There’s no shortage of people to ponder over.

In actuality, Ruth doesn’t have a large number of acquaintances left on the train with whom she maintains close ties. Perhaps it’s just Melanie and Ben. The rest of her companions, including Layton, made the decision to leave for New Eden and accept the challenges that came with creating a new world.

Ruth didn’t dispute that those were her concerns. The way she spoke and her expression suggested that they indeed were hers, given Layton’s continuous reminders about issues with the relay, the bridge, and other matters.

I’m currently preoccupied with some urgent issues. Out of the blue, Audrey has appeared injured and unconscious. Tragically, Zarah has met her end, and Dr. Headwood, along with an unfamiliar figure, have abducted Liana. It’s crucial we uncover what transpired on Snowpiercer. Was Oz’s alarming news about the deceased passengers merely a hallucination?
