‘One of TV’s best detective’ series renewed for season three

Prime Video has ordered a third season of Cross, the popular police drama starring Aldis Hodge as detective Alex Cross. The show gained traction in the UK earlier this year when its second season was released.

Premiering in November 2024, the series Cross quickly gained popularity, attracting 40 million viewers worldwide in its first 20 days, according to Prime Video. It also became the most-watched title on the streaming platform in over 100 countries.

The new TV show Cross, inspired by James Patterson’s novels, features Isaiah Mustafa and Juanita Jennings alongside Matthew Lillard (known from Scream), Jeanine Mason, Wes Chatham, and Alona Tal.

According to Variety, the upcoming third season will further develop the intense and compelling story, continuing to showcase strong acting and a thrilling world for the show’s central character.

Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, explained that Cross has consistently engaged viewers with its complex characters, thrilling suspense, and relatable emotional core.
