Rita Ora reveals she has ‘stopped trying to impress people’ as she opens up about married life with director and actor Taika Waititi
As a seasoned observer of pop culture and entertainment news, I’ve had the pleasure of following Rita Ora’s career with great interest for quite some time now. Her latest Instagram post, filled with stunning photos from her Italian vacation, is just another testament to her charisma and captivating presence both on and off the red carpet.
Rita Ora shared that she no longer tries to win over people’s approval now that she is married to New Zealand director and actor Taika Waititi.
In 2022, the producer behind many hits, aged 33, quietly exchanged vows with the talented JoJo Rabbit scriptwriter, who is 48. However, they kept their marriage a secret and didn’t announce it until the following year.

I dared to wear a golden sheer dress that added an elegant touch of mystery, and a bold black corset with an alluring bustline.
During the interview for this article, she openly shared the most valuable lesson she’s discovered since her marriage.
Rita shared, “I no longer strive to win people over, and I regret not making this change earlier in life, as it holds no significance – especially since my marriage.”
In my twenties, I was under the impression that living my life for others and constantly trying to impress them was the norm. Boy, was I wrong! Looking back, I now realize how draining and exhausting it was. It’s crucial to prioritize ourselves and live our lives authentically, focusing on what brings us joy and fulfillment. My experience has taught me that it’s essential not to lose sight of who we are in the pursuit of pleasing others.
Rita added: ‘I think in life you need to be happy with yourself, but you have to make the change.
‘If you don’t like something, you have to make that decision for yourself, not for other people.’
During the interview, Rita shared information about growing up in Notting Hill, London, as she was born in what is now Kosovo in Europe, to Albanian parents.
She explained, “Growing up, I lived in a multicultural neighborhood, and I was an international student myself. Yet, my classroom was populated by newcomers from various lands.”
I believe that’s what makes me adore London. It’s a melting pot of unique and fascinating individuals hailing from various parts of the world. Fortunately, I’ve always felt included and never experienced feeling out of place there.
For the cover photo session, Rita’s appearance was stunning, featuring a provocative sequined miniskirt that split high at the hips and was secured with metallic fasteners.
As a lifestyle expert, I would suggest paraphrasing it this way: In an alternate outfit, Rita boldly opted to go without a bra underneath a shimmering gold midi dress with sheer mesh fabric.
To capture her effortless style for the cover image, Rita wore a white maxi dress with a racer neck and knit fabric, layered over it was a longline cardigan in gold.
In various photos, Rita was spotted wearing double denim – wide-leg jeans and a bow-collar shirt with the same denim fabric. She also donned a stylish outfit combining a white blouse and a crochet top with a leather jacket.
It comes after Rita showed off her incredible figure as she enjoyed a trip to Italy.
In her urban photo shoot at the age of 33, the Anywhere singer exuded elegance and allure while wearing a minuscule brown bikini.
Rita accessorized her vibrant skirt outfit and stood tall with poise, letting her golden waves cascade down freely.
She opted for minimal accessories for the outing and carried with her a blue and pink hand bag.
In a tight shot, she shared with her Instagram audience a peek at her authentic makeup style adorned with golden hoop earrings.
She captioned the post: ‘Oh Italy what a joy.’
The Masked Singer judge posted a number of additional photos from her journey on Instagram, reaching an audience of 16 million followers.
In an alternate photo, she appeared carefree and joyful with a playful grin as she leaned out of a moving car, and in yet another image, she was seen making a playful pout in front of a bathroom mirror.
For her new album promotion, Rita chose to wear a bold outfit consisting of leather hot pants and a crop top. She paired this look with towering platforms and extravagant eye makeup in the music video for “Ask & You Shall Receive.”
After leaving us all in awe, she didn’t hold back and changed into a bra and thong, even going as far as posing outside a washing machine.
Rita’s new hit, Ask and You Shall Receive, comes after the great reception of her 2023 top ten album, You and I.
Rita described the new release as follows: “The tune is infused with energetic, sunny feelings and explores the idea of embracing romantic opportunities head-on with that particular someone.”
“Raye contributed to its creation, making it a profoundly nostalgic experience for me. Our collaboration brings me back to the fantastic memories we made during the Phoenix tour.”
The singer involved her husband Taika Waititi in creating the explicit music video, an unexpected participation from him as a director that wasn’t initially planned until the shoot day.
