90 Day Fiance's Angela hires P.I. after daughter Skyla fears her husband Michael was 'scamming' her

As an obsessed fan of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, I can’t help but feel deeply concerned for Angela Deem and her tumultuous relationship with Michael Ilesanmi. The latest episode only fueled my fears as Angela’s daughter Skyla raised valid concerns about Michael’s suspicious behavior.

On the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Angela Deem’s daughter Skyla Rae expressed concerns about her mother’s husband Michael Ilesanmi potentially scamming her. To put these fears to rest, Angela decided to hire a private detective to investigate Michael.

A 58-year-old woman from Florida, who is a grandma of six, has a age difference of 23 years with her husband, whom she met on Facebook in 2017 and got married in 2020. He is originally from Nigeria and has been known for his philandering ways.

Angela and Michael had been in a long-distance relationship until Michael obtained a US visa and relocated to Georgia in December. However, on February 23, he suddenly disappeared with just the clothes on him, sparking concerns that he was in danger.

Ilesanmi currently resides in Texas, where they seem to be contentedly living, contrary to the challenges they faced in sharing a home during last week’s episode.

In her confidential interview, Skyla expressed her frustration by saying, “Mama continues to conceal herself from him, conceal herself from him, and it’s truly disheartening how she behaves as if she’s an innocent, gullible elderly woman who falls for scams.”

I’ve grown increasingly concerned after noticing Michael’s recent interest in life insurance policies regarding my mother. This discovery has set off alarm bells for me. I fear for my mom’s wellbeing and suspect that a private investigator may soon uncover some disturbing truths about Michael. My gut feeling is that he’s been deceiving her, perhaps even scamming or hiding money from her. The full extent of his wrongdoings remains to be seen.

When Skyla suggested that Michael was attempting to harm her severely, Deem concurred, expressing his initial belief: “I thought the same thing.”

Skyla responded: “He isn’t planning to abandon you. Instead, he seems to want everyone else to depart first. I’m eager to unveil his true nature.”

Mother and daughter sat down with the private investigator at a restaurant. The ex-nurse assured him, “If you find out he’s deceiving me, I’ll make him leave, by any means necessary. I’m prepared to let go, move on.” (This version aims for a clearer and more conversational tone.)

Angela spoke in a private interview later on: “I’ve kept every promise to Michael. I’ve given him my unwavering love, helped him reach America, even took him back when I shouldn’t have. Now, I’m prepared to put our marriage aside to discover the truth.”

The eighth season Tell-All reunion, due soon, could take an unfavorable turn as the private investigator involved, Ilesanmi’s P.I., makes a dramatic appearance to share his investigation results.

‘I’m hurt from this man!’ Deem screamed in the teaser for the TLC reality show.

‘No woman deserves to be treated like this! Nobody!’

A backer of Donald Trump angrily exits the studio, grumbling, “I despise tell-alls! I can’t stand this place!”

I, as a devoted fan of 90 Day Fiancé, was surprised to learn from Deavan Clegg’s Instagram Live session last August, that the cast members like her only receive $1,000 per episode and $1,500 for Tell-Alls. However, most times, she shared, she barely managed to cover her expenses, which included unrefunded travel costs, parking fees, and food expenses on most days.

In 2020, while sharing my insights on Domenick Nati’s show, I mentioned an intriguing detail about the income structure of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After” stars. Danielle Jbali, a cast member at that time, revealed that if you appear in every episode throughout the season, the paycheck amounts to around $10,000. However, there’s an important catch: this sum is divided into two parts. The first installment is a $5,000 advance received upfront. The remaining $5,000 becomes due upon completion of the NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). Yet, should a cast member breach the terms of their NDA, they forfeit the right to receive the remaining compensation.
