Hypergryph’s Arknights: Endfield is rumoured to get an official launch in mid-2025
As a long-time fan of Arknights and its related universe, I’ve eagerly followed the development of Arknights: Endfield since its initial announcement. The prospect of delving deeper into this captivating world through an immersive 3D RPG has piqued my interest from the start. However, the prolonged silence on updates and the lack of progress has left me feeling a mix of excitement and frustration.
Arknights: Endfield, a game in development by Hypergryph, has been undergoing development for some time without releasing any significant new content. Nevertheless, an article recently surfaced, hinting at the potential launch of this 3D real-time RPG in the middle of 2025. This news brings anticipation to Arknights: Endfield fans who have been looking forward to its release.
Arknights: Endfield might see a China launch before hitting worldwide
A Chinese WeChat article announced that Gu Yu, who previously held a high-ranking position at Tencent NExT Studios as deputy general manager, was now joining Hypergryph Networks as a senior technical leader. With more than two decades of industry experience under his belt, Gu Yu’s knowledge and skills are anticipated to significantly aid Hypergryph in tackling their present production hurdles, particularly regarding the 3D technology used in Arknights: Endfield.
Amidst the latest news about Hypergryph Network, something piqued my interest: allegedly, Arknights: Endfield could be unveiled around mid-2025 according to an insider’s tip. Keep in mind, this is merely a rumor and not an confirmed announcement from the company itself.
As an avid follower of this project, I couldn’t help but notice that there seems to be some tension surrounding its development. It’s been nearly three years since the game was first announced, and aside from beta testing in China on PC, there haven’t been many updates for the mobile gaming community at large.
Arknights: Endfield is now being worked on for release on personal computers and mobile devices. This project takes place within the same world as Arknights, a widely-loved mobile tower defense game, and Arknights: Perish in Frost, its connected anime series.
It’s plausible that the unofficially announced game may debut in China first, even if it’s currently slated for PC release only. I’m crossing my fingers for a formal announcement rather than speculation.
