As someone who has gone through the ups and downs of love and relationships, I can relate to Kelly’s perspective. Having experienced my fair share of heartbreaks and failed relationships, I understand the importance of holding onto one’s self-worth and not compromising my values for the sake of convenience or saving money.

Kelly Bensimon is content with her decision to cancel her wedding to Scott Litner, whom she had been engaged to for two years, at the last minute without looking back.

The Real Housewife of New York City chose to call off the wedding as Scott declined to put pen to paper on a prenuptial deal.

I can’t help but feel excited and passionate about this topic three weeks after making a pivotal choice. I wholeheartedly urge every woman out there, yes, you!, to consider signing a prenuptial agreement before walking down the aisle with your loved one. It may not be the most romantic thing to discuss, but trust me, it could save you from potential financial troubles in the future.

Kelly, 56, expressed her deep disappointment to DailyMail.com during The Daily Front Row’s Most Stylish Party at Sunset Harbor in the Hamptons on July 13. “I’m really upset about this,” she said, “it wasn’t an unexpected turn of events. This situation had been developing for a while and the prenuptial agreement was a significant concern for me.”

When it comes to being a single parent, regardless of having a modest income or vast wealth, women feel the necessity to ensure their own safety. Taking unnecessary risks is not an option I’d consider in this situation.

After announcing her intention to call off her wedding, the reality star mentioned that discussions regarding the substantial premarital agreement had led her to consider various options.

Based on my personal experience as a parent raising two precious girls and having gone through the process of drafting a prenuptial agreement with my partner, I strongly believe that both personal respect and value are crucial aspects of an individual’s life. My girls are the embodiment of my love and priorities, and I want to ensure their future security and well-being.

I reflected on the situation, realizing that self-protection and support for my friends are crucial. Many individuals have shared their experiences with me, expressing feelings of vulnerability. With deep empathy, I listen attentively, aiming to provide a stable and understanding presence for those in need.

She expressed her gratitude for the experience, sharing that it has been incredibly valuable to her. With so many women having faced similar challenges, as well as her own family and friends, she emphasized the significance of maintaining a balance in life. This means putting effort into work, play, love, and self-care alike.

The real estate agent expressed feeling significantly improved both inside and out since becoming single. Her friends have noticed a noticeable change in her demeanor, commenting on how much happier and more radiant she appears.

On June 29, Kelly and Scott, residents of New York City, were scheduled to exchange vows in Boston at the backyard of the financier’s mother for a wedding ceremony in her presence, surrounded by loved ones.

Looking ahead, I believe that failing to secure a prenuptial agreement before getting married could put you at a disadvantage. This is because each state handles divorce and the distribution of assets differently, and the law’s sympathy towards your feelings for one another holds no weight in these matters.

She firmly declared, “I won’t allow my daughters, Sea, 26, and Teddy, 23, whom I share with my ex-husband Gilles Bensimon, to do it, and I myself will not do it.”

Kelly was married to the famed photographer from 1997 to 2006.

The ex-RHONY star is thankful for the outpouring of kindness she’s experienced since canceling her summer wedding, with a special appreciation for the males in her circle.

I’m often praised for my supposed strength, but the truth is, I don’t consider myself a strong woman. Growing up with a twin brother Tom Killoren and an incredible father who instilled so much pride in me, I simply saw myself as fortunate to have been raised by such inspiring figures. However, there seems to be a misunderstanding of my true character on Housewives.

She replied, “They may call me fierce or strong-willed, but I’m not a bully. I value honesty and strong morals above all. In today’s challenging world, it is crucial for women to assert themselves and support one another. It goes beyond just legal agreements; it’s deeper than that.”

In the summer of 2023 during the Fourth of July holiday, Scott, a man with two marriages and kids under his belt, made an unexpected proposal to Kelly while they were cruising on a speedboat in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

After my boyfriend proposed and we decided to live separately, I began leasing out my downtown Manhattan apartment in the Police Building for a monthly rent of $28,500.

After looking back on the ended relationship, the real estate broker from Douglas Elliman now regrets her decision to live with Scott before they got married.

“Dad frequently reminds me, ‘You’re essentially giving milk away for nothing.’ Thus, if you aim to be respected, living independently is crucial, even if it means sharing living expenses with a roommate.” – Kelly

Based on my own experiences and observations, I strongly believe that cohabiting before marriage is not a decision to be taken lightly. From my perspective, it’s essential to understand that living together before tying the knot may not necessarily reflect a commitment to getting married. Instead, it could indicate a more unconventional relationship, one that doesn’t adhere to traditional marriage norms.

When asked for her reasons, she explained, “Things change significantly when you live with someone and get married. The risks and experiences become unique. Every aspect of life is altered in some way.”

In August 2022, Kelly’s father, Thomas Killoren, sadly passed away. On Instagram, the ex-model expressed her gratitude for the valuable lessons and strong moral foundation he had given her.

I’m thrilled to be back residing in the Police Building once again, as per Page Six’s recent reports. My priority now is my beloved family, cherished friends, and of course, my dedicated work. To add some excitement to my routine, I’ve decided to embark on a new adventure: learning the art of polo!

In the realm of real estate, it’s often said that time can end deals. Reflecting on her romantic experiences, she remarked, “Absence makes the heart grow clearer. While separated from loved ones, one goes through various stages of grief – anger, sadness. But with this distance, I find myself gaining much-needed clarity. And I believe I deserve that.”

Regardless of my age, be it 56 or 22, I firmly believe that we all deserve the best that life has to offer. With my years of accumulated experiences, I have learned that settling for less than the best can leave us feeling unfulfilled and unsatisfied. So, why not strive for excellence in every aspect of our lives? After all, we only get one shot at this thing called life, and it’s essential that we make the most of it. Therefore, I choose to hold myself to high standards and pursue only those things that bring me joy, growth, and fulfillment.

I firmly believe in my father’s words when he says, “You never know when someone will appear in your life.” That’s why I choose to focus on bettering myself, cherishing my friends and family, and ensuring they receive nothing but the best. By doing so, I aim to radiate positivity, and when my future soulmate crosses my path, they’ll be drawn to that shining light.
