We’ve been following Gaby, played by Jessica Williams, as she’s really dedicated herself to helping her patient, Maya (Sherry Cola). She even started trying some new, out-of-the-box therapy ideas suggested by Jimmy (Jason Segel), which meant spending time with Maya outside of their appointments and bringing her into her social circle with people like Sean and Alice. But the end of season 3, episode 7, delivered a truly devastating blow – Gaby gets a phone call revealing that Maya tragically took her own life. It was a shocking moment and really left me reeling.
