Taylor Swift’s stalker is detained while trying to attend Eras Tour in Germany after ‘making threats’ against her on social media

As a lifestyle expert and someone who values safety and security above all else, I strongly condemn the actions of the man who made threats against Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. The incident that took place at Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen is a stark reminder of the very real danger and harm that stalkers can cause to individuals and their loved ones.

A man from America, who posted menacing messages about Taylor Swift on social media, was taken into custody before her concert in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

On Wednesday, prior to the concert, a person under suspicion of stalking, whose name has been kept confidential, was apprehended at the entrance of the venue by the authorities based on preliminary investigations suggesting a potential danger. (USA Today)

The man reportedly made threatening statements towards Taylor Swift, 34, and her boyfriend Travis Kelce during her first performance at Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, as stated by the authorities.

As a result, he will be kept in detention until Saturday. 

According to AP, the event organizers warned the authorities about a suspicious individual who exhibited stalking-like behaviors online.

German law enforcement officials reported that neither Swift nor the crowd of 60,000 people were ever in peril during the event.

In addition to Wednesday’s show, Swift will be performing in Gelsenkirchen on July 18 and 19. 

The pop star has conc concerts scheduled in Germany through July 28. Specifically, there are two performances in Hamburg and two in Munich remaining on the itinerary.

In August, she will wrap up the European segment of the Eras Tour with five consecutive shows in London.

She will take a month-long break before performing in Florida and Louisiana. 

In November 2024, the Grammy-winning artist who has earned this title 14 times will conclude her US tour at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, for a total of three performances.

She will close the Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada on December 8, 2024. 

For several years, Swift has encountered some risky encounters with overzealous fans and experienced numerous stalking episodes.
