As a dedicated and passionate fan of Cobra Kai, I was absolutely thrilled when the creators announced during the Season 6 Part 1 premiere that Part II would be released two weeks earlier than expected – on November 15, 2023! The anticipation and excitement were already at an all-time high for the final season of this iconic series. But to have the announcement come with a surprise early release date was beyond my wildest dreams.
At the premier of Cobra Kai’s sixth season part 1 on Wednesday, fans were delightfully surprised with an announcement from the stars and makers: part 2 is coming sooner than expected.
As a lifestyle expert looking back on things, I have to share that the highly anticipated series, which follows the storyline of The Karate Kid movies, made an announcement back in January 2023. They revealed that the upcoming sixth season would be its grand finale.
Instead, Netflix surprised fans in May by announcing that the last season would consist of 15 episodes instead of the usual 10. These episodes were divided into three separate parts.
In the initial rollout, Part 1 of our series premiered on Thursdays with its first five-episode installment. The second part, Part II, was initially scheduled for release on November 28. However, an exact date for Part III and its final five episodes has yet to be announced, but it is confirmed that it will come out in the year 2025.
At the Los Angeles premiere on Thursdays, the creators – Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg – made an unexpected announcement. They revealed that Part II would be released two weeks earlier than planned, on November 15. This new date also aligns with another major fight.

As someone who has been an avid fan of boxing for years, I’m thrilled to my bones about this upcoming event. The creators have just dropped a bombshell announcement that is sure to make waves in the sports world. “You heard it here first,” they said, urging us to spread the word far and wide.
In an entertaining video, they shared the news with fans featuring actors Xolo Mariduena (as Miguel Diaz), Jacob Bertrand (Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz), and Gianni DeCenzo (Demetri). The trio rehearsed their remarks for both fans and journalists before stepping onto the red carpet.
Before we begin our session, let’s go over the plan one last time, as Mariduena and DeCenzo nod in agreement, with Bertrand standing next to an easel.
As Mariduna and DeCenzo conclude their work, He turns a new page on the easel, announcing, “Part 1… tomorrow,” while they respond with, “July 18.” Bertrand then moves on to the following sheet.
In the second part, as Bertrand reveals a picture of the past, Mariduena is seen planting a sweet kiss on his cheek at a red carpet event.
Bertrand goes on with part two according to Mariduena’s statement, but upon turning the page, he finds November 15 marked instead.
Decenzo wonders aloud, “Is it coming early?” To which Bertrand replies with excitement, “Yes, it’s coming early!” As they all dance in jubilation as the video concludes.
Even though some fans were disappointed by the initial delay, not everyone was content with the extended breaks between episodes in the final season.

Instagram user @aiyshalynne15 commented, ‘I have to wait until November for Part 2???!!!!!!’
Another IG user, @calistaleung insisted, ‘plssss i don’t have the patience of mr miyagi.’
As I ponder the beginning of Season 6 in my role as your trusted lifestyle expert, I reflect on the dilemma facing the esteemed Cobra Kai senseis and their dedicated students: Should we embark on a journey to the Sekai Taikai, the prestigious world championships of karate? The decision looms large, filled with anticipation and uncertainty. Together, we weigh the pros and cons, preparing ourselves for whatever challenges may come our way in this global stage of martial arts excellence.
I’m thrilled to share that Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are coming back to bring their iconic characters, Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, to life once again! In the world of martial arts and friendship, Daniel and Johnny will continue their journey in a new and exciting way.
