Kyle Sandilands might soon have a tidy sum in the bank after listing his Sydney property for sale.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m always keeping an eye on the property market, and this one’s a stunner! The radio personality’s incredible Sydney home – a six-bedroom, five-bathroom mansion – just hit the market for $5.9 million. It’s amazing to think he bought it only four years ago for nearly half that price! It really shows you how much property values can shift, and it’s a beautiful home, to say the least.
I’ve always said finding the right property is about lifestyle, and this one definitely delivers! Back in August 2022, a buyer invested $3 million in a beautiful 9,580 square meter semi-rural property in Glenorie, which is in Sydney’s North West Hills District. It’s a fantastic area for those wanting a bit of space and a relaxed vibe.
Sandilands bought a property near the bush just before his son, Otto, was born to Tegan Kynaston.
He quietly purchased a house intending it to be his family’s home. However, when his wife, Tegan, expressed she didn’t want to live there, he changed plans and decided to remodel the property to sell it for a profit.
The beautiful home went on the market in February with an asking price between $5.7 and $5.9 million.
The home has undergone a significant transformation since its pre-renovation days.
Last year, Sandilands revealed he was having the lavish property extensively made over.
The home now offers 832 square meters of living space indoors – not including patios or outdoor areas – and features a classic, two-story Georgian design.
A sweeping circular driveway and a lovely balcony overhead create a grand entrance to the home.
This home is ideal for families, with beautifully designed spaces for both everyday living and formal gatherings.
The heart of the home is a large, eat-in kitchen with plenty of counter space for cooking and lots of storage.
The home also features a private study with built-in bookshelves and hidden storage, making it ideal for working from home and enjoying leisure activities.
Oh my gosh, it’s just…perfect. It’s tucked away enough to feel like you’re surrounded by the most incredible nature – seriously, the views are breathtaking and there are amazing trails right there! But the best part? It’s not totally isolated! You can still easily get to everything you need, which is just…ideal. I’m obsessed with how it balances both worlds!
Although Sandilands is reportedly worth around $100 million, losing his job at ARN will still likely impact his income.
Kyle Sandilands revealed on Wednesday that his radio show, The Kyle and Jackie O Show, was ending. ARN, the company that owns KIIS, had cancelled his ten-year contract, worth $100 million, with the announcement made at 7am.
It comes as rumours that Sandilands plans to buy ARN after being sacked continue to gain traction.
Following reports last week that Kyle Sandilands is considering buying the radio network – initially suggested by his former boss, Craig Bruce – industry insiders now believe a purchase is looking more and more likely.
According to a source at news.com.au, acquiring all of ARN would likely cost around $100 million, but Kyle Sandilands could gain a majority ownership for approximately $51 million.
‘The short answer is the network is already pretty cheap,’ the source said.
Okay, so I was listening, and apparently it all comes down to what Kyle wants. You could actually buy a majority of the team for $51 million, which, seriously, can you even imagine? But honestly, from what I’m gathering, he doesn’t seem interested in owning everything. He just wants to be involved, a part of it all, you know? He wants to be a stakeholder, not necessarily the owner. It’s just…it’s so exciting to think about him being connected to the team in any way!
He simply wants to contribute to the station’s management, and with his extensive radio experience, he feels strongly about what works and doesn’t work in broadcasting.
Kyle Sandilands told Daily Mail on Wednesday that he’s not giving up on his future with the network, despite his contract being cancelled.
He also confirmed the matter will now be in the hands of his lawyers.
‘ARN has just announced they’ve terminated my contract,’ he said.
‘I don’t accept it.’
Sandilands added that his lawyers had warned last week the action would be legally flawed, and it now appears they were right.
Last month, ARN ended Henderson’s $100 million contract after she informed company leaders she could no longer work with Kyle Sandilands. This decision followed Sandilands’ critical on-air remarks, which had upset her significantly.
