Wednesday season 2 is coming in 2025, Netflix says
As a dedicated fan of Netflix’s hit series, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard that “Wednesday” season 2 has officially been confirmed for release in 2025! The wait will be worth it, as we’ll once again get to witness Jenna Ortega’s exceptional acting skills and the captivating storyline of Wednesday Addams.
Netflix has announced that the second season of its hugely popular show, “Wednesday,” will be available to stream starting in 2025 on their platform.
In the early part of this year, Deadline announced a lineup of shows scheduled to return on Netflix in 2025. Among them was the second season of “Wednesday,” featuring Jenna Ortega. However, it wasn’t until July 18, 2024, that Netflix made an official announcement confirming the return of this popular series.
During the Q2 Netflix earnings call, CEO Ted Sarandos looked back at shows released in 2024 and previewed those scheduled for 2025. Notably, the second season of “Wednesday” and “Stranger Things” season 5 were among the new additions.
Looking forward through 2025, you’ve got new seasons of Wednesday, Stranger Things, and The Night Agent, and we’re in production on One Piece, so there’s a ton of excitement there just in our series.
As a long-time fan of gripping television shows, I can truly appreciate the excitement and anticipation that comes with eagerly waiting for the release of highly-anticipated series. Having grown up binge-watching my favorite shows, I remember the joy of counting down the days until the next episode dropped or a new season premiered.
Nowadays, many Wednesday series fans have come to terms with the fact that the second season won’t be available on Netflix in 2023. However, keeping track of current news can be quite a challenge.
Starting in Ireland this spring of 2024, filming for Wednesday‘s second season commenced on a weekly basis as of April. Based on current schedules, production is predicted to carry on till August. However, an official announcement from Netflix regarding the conclusion of production is yet to be made, so we’ll have to stay tuned for more information.
If everything proceeds smoothly, the second season of “Wednesday” could potentially be available as early as the first quarter of 2025 for viewers. Although it’s been over two years since the show’s debut, we may not need to wait until summer or fall of 2025 for the next installment. Netflix has yet to disclose the release date for “Wednesday” season 2, but assuming production goes according to plan, we might get a glimpse of it in early 2025.
Emma Myers, among other stars including Ortega, Hunter Doohan, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, and Fred Armisen, are set to reappear in the second season of “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.” Additionally, new cast members like Steve Buscemi and Christopher Lloyd will make their debut in the upcoming season.
