Leviatán secures a VALORANT Champions Seoul spot for Sentinels

As a dedicated Sentinels fan, I couldn’t help but feel a rollercoaster of emotions during the VCT Americas Stage 2 playoffs. With a spot at VALORANT Champions 2024 on the line for both Sentinels and Leviatán, every match was a nail-biter.

With just one victory against Leviathan in the VCT Americas 2024 Stage 2 Playoffs, Sentinels secured their spot in the VALORANT Champions 2024 tournament.

As the VCT Americas Stage 2 playoffs entered the second round, several teams were fighting for a chance to advance to Champions 2024. Despite Sentinels being eliminated earlier, a victory by Leviatán guaranteed them a trip to Seoul, Korea for the competition.

Sentinels fans, say thank you.

During the VCT Americas Stage 2 playoffs preparation, LEV was a strong contender for the Champions title. Even if they lost all their games, they could still qualify through Championship Points.

In the Knockout Round competition, Sentinels were outperformed by 100 Thieves, but they managed to advance due to Leviatán’s qualification via the brackets instead of relying on championship points. Fortunately for Sentinels, this is precisely what transpired.

During the match between LEV and KRÜ in Valorant’s VCT America series, Sentinels fans eagerly rooted for team blue. To put it simply, LEV delivered a dominant performance, leaving their opponents in ruins, and granted Sentinels the victory they were craving. As a result, both LEV and Sentinels have earned spots as representatives in the VCT America Champions tournament.

As I pen this down, two playoff spots remain undecided. The outcome of the clash between G2 Esports and 100 Thieves decides one of these vacancies. Subsequently, the loser from their match against KRÜ will claim the last spot. Once these teams are determined, the focus shifts to playoff seeding.

Other regions have already cemented their Champions teams:

  • China: FPX, EDG, BLG, Trace
  • Pacific: Gen.G, DRX, PRX, Talon
  • EMEA: FNATIC, Vitality, Heretics, FUT

As a gamer, I can tell you that Leviatán is shaping up to be as solid as any team out there. We’re making our way to Korea next, but we’ve still got some matches in the Stage 2 VCT Americas bracket to hone our skills and build up some experience. Once we’re ready, we’ll be taking on the best VALORANT teams from around the globe.
