Perez Hilton shared with his followers that he was recently in the hospital due to an unexplained illness, and appeared unwell.
The 47-year-old, famous for starting his celebrity gossip blog in 2004, shared an update with his almost 1 million Instagram followers on Saturday.
The actor hasn’t revealed why he was hospitalized, but he’s now back home and says he’ll share details about what happened soon.
Hilton posted some selfies from her hospital bed, where she was wearing a patterned blue gown.
One photo depicted the blogger wearing an oxygen mask, and other photos showed his mother coming to see him.
He sat beside his mother’s hospital bed, and they both briefly smiled for the camera.
She also sweetly adjusted a pillow that was behind her son to make sure that he was comfortable.
Hilton was gifted balloons that had ‘Hang In There… Get Well Soon’ printed on the front.
He wrote in the post’s caption: ‘March madness is right – I have quite a story to share!’
Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Hilton for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
The TV personality later shared another video featuring a collection of short clips he’d filmed while recovering in the hospital.
In a voiceover, he shared that he moved to Las Vegas three years ago and had excellent care at Southern Hills Hospital.
Hilton publicly thanked the doctors and nurses who cared for him, saying he wouldn’t have been able to return home so quickly without their help.
The celebrity also told fans they’ll soon hear the complete story of their recent health challenges.
‘You are angels, all of you at @southernhillshospitallv!’ he penned in the caption of the clip.
Hilton will share more information about his recent health issue in a video on his YouTube channel, which will be released on Monday.
