At Texas A&M University in College Station, Strait attracted a crowd of 110,905 people to Kyle Field, surpassing the earlier record of 107,019 fans who attended the Grateful Dead concert at Raceway Park in New Jersey, as reported by Billboard. However, it’s important to note that this record doesn’t take into account the attendance numbers for events like Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival, which typically have larger audiences.
With an impressive attendance record, George Strait’s illustrious career in country music stands out. Known for his neo-traditionalist sound that distinguished him from the dominant country-pop hits of the ‘80s and ‘90s, Strait has amassed 27 No. 1 country albums and 44 No. 1 country singles.
