Jamie Foxx, a beloved actor known for his versatility and charisma, has recently made headlines not just for his acting work but also for his health recovery and involvement in his daughter Corinne’s wedding plans.

Corinne Foxx shared an update on her father Jamie’s health, sharing that he is showing significant improvement following over a year-long hospitalization due to an unspecified ailment. Additionally, she mentioned that he has been showing an increased interest in her upcoming wedding preparations.

In an ET interview published Tuesday, Corinne shared that Jamie Foxx, who has kept a low profile since 2023 and has expressed his intention to discuss his past experiences on his own terms someday, is currently “thriving” according to her.

“She expressed her joy by saying, ‘He’s absolutely killing it.’ I’m fortunate to collaborate with him on ‘Beat Shazam’ and enjoy his company regularly. His dedication to pickleball is truly remarkable; he plays twice a day almost every day. It’s an engrossing spectacle to witness.”

As a devoted film enthusiast, I had to step back from my role as host for “Beat Shazam” during Season 6 because I fell ill. Fortunately, my friend and talented colleague, Nick Cannon, graciously filled in for me on a temporary basis. Now that I’ve recovered, I’m thrilled to be back for the premiere of Season 7, which took place on May 28th.

As a dedicated cinema enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that my father, the renowned actor and producer, Corinne Foxx, has played an essential role in helping me plan my upcoming nuptials with the talented producer-director, Joe Hooten.

She shared that when she inquired about her father’s guest list, he revealed it consisted of 300 individuals on its own. Surprised, she exclaimed, “We’ll need to reduce the number a bit! I have relatives whom I’m not certain are truly kin, if you catch my drift? There are cousins, uncles, and I wonder, do these people count as family members?”

“I was like, I don’t know about all of that,” Corinne said.

One thing is for sure: The wedding party will need to stock up on tissues.

“I’m a bit apprehensive about having him escort me during the wedding,” she admitted. “It’ll certainly be stunning and unforgettable, but I’m positive he’ll shed some tears.”
