As a supporter and someone who values the personal journeys of celebrities, I am thrilled to hear about John Mulaney and Olivia Munn‘s recent marriage. Their love story is inspiring, and it’s heartwarming to see them start this new chapter in their lives together.
John Mulaney and Olivia Munn have stepped up their commitment to each other. Reports suggest that they exchanged marriage vows during the past weekend. (Comedian John Mulaney and actress Olivia Munn are said to have gotten married over the weekend.)
Mulaney, 41, and Munn, 44, exchanged “I do’s” in a intimate wedding ceremony at a friend’s residence in New York, according to People’s source. The couple got married three years into their relationship and welcomed their son Malcolm Hiệp in November 2021.
The reps for both stars declined to confirm The Times’ query straightaway.
Mulaney and Munn crossed paths for the first time at Seth Meyers’ wedding to Alexi Ashe in 2013. However, they didn’t start dating until the spring of 2021. Comedian John Mulaney spoke about his romantic connection with Munn on an episode of “Late Night With Seth Meyers” that year.
“Mulaney quipped to the host about the wedding: ‘It’s great that something positive resulted from it.’ He managed to start dating me again just as I was getting better, which is referred to as a ‘reverse sweep’ in relationship circles.”
Mulaney and Anna Marie Tendler concluded their marriage in May 2021, a few months following Mulaney’s admission to a rehabilitation center for dealing with his alcohol and cocaine dependencies. In an interview on “Late Night” that aired in September 2021, Mulaney disclosed that he slipped up after hosting “SNL” in October 2020, went back to rehab, and subsequently started dating Munn while in Los Angeles.
The actor expressed gratitude for encountering “Six” and “Ocean’s Eight” during his healing process, sharing that their connection has been truly lovely.
During the same episode, Mulaney announced that he and Munn were expecting their first child.
Several months have passed since Munn spoke openly to Meredith Blake of The Times about her pregnancy, her romance with Mulaney, and the intense public scrutiny surrounding their relationship during Mulaney’s split from Tendler.
In the November 2021 interview, Munn expressed that people’s perceptions of her relationship with him are misinformed. She emphasized, “Despite what others may believe, they don’t truly understand our bond. No one can fully grasp the intricacies of any of his relationships or ours.”
I’m thrilled to share that on November 24, 2021, Mulaney and Munn brought a new bundle of joy into their lives – a baby boy! We’ve all been eagerly waiting for this news, and they didn’t disappoint in sharing the wonderful moment with us through an Instagram post.
“Munlaey wrote in his post, ‘He still has a lot of life to live, he hasn’t tasted seltzer yet.’ I’m deeply fond of him and everything about him. Wishing you all a joyous holiday season.”
After that, the famous personalities have been regularly posting Instagram contents showcasing their delightful moments with their 2-year-old kid. Back in April, Munn uploaded a video featuring her child uttering “Mama.”
The couple held a quiet wedding several months after Munn disclosed in March that she had been diagnosed with luminal B breast cancer. This diagnosis led to four surgeries within a span of ten months, which included a double mastectomy. In an interview with Vogue in May, Munn shared that she underwent the removal of both ovaries as part of her treatment. However, she also revealed that she had preserved two viable embryos, allowing them the possibility to grow their family through in-vitro fertilization if they decide to do so in the future.
In an interview with the magazine, Mulaney shared that he and Munn are deeply committed to safeguarding their small world as she faces her cancer fight.
As a cinephile, I can relate when someone’s life is transformed by a medical diagnosis. When Olivia received her diagnosis and underwent that crucial risk assessment test, I knew deep down it would make all the difference. It wasn’t an easy decision for her doctor to recommend such a test, but the outcome was undeniably positive. Although we usually prefer keeping our personal matters private, I wholeheartedly supported Olivia in sharing her story with the world. Her courage and transparency could potentially help and inspire others going through similar experiences.
