Which AMC shows are coming to Netflix?

I’m particularly thrilled about “A Discovery of Witches” myself. Featuring Teresa Palmer as Diana Bishop and Matthew Goode as Matthew Clairmont, this three-part fantasy series is a true standout for me. It offers an enchanting romance, a complex vampire power structure, magical elements, and surprises that will leave you in awe.

One thing that drew me to the show is the strong on-screen connection between the actors portraying Diana and Matthew, along with their unwavering devotion to one another. I promise you’ll find yourself rooting for them! Here are some upcoming AMC titles headed to Netflix, according to Deadline:

  • A Discovery of Witches, all three seasons
  • Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, first season only (renewed for season 3)
  • Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, first season (second is in the works)
  • The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, first season (season 2 premieres on AMC in September)
  • Fear the Walking Dead, all eight seasons
  • Monsieur Spade, one season
  • That Dirty Black Bag, one season
  • The Terror, first season only (season 3 premieres on AMC in 2025)
  • Dark Winds, two seasons (renewed for season 3)
  • Gangs of London, two seasons (renewed for season 3)
  • Into the Badlands, all three seasons
  • Kevin can F*** Himself, all two seasons
  • Preacher, all four seasons

As a dedicated gamer and fan of The Walking Dead, I’m thrilled to share that starting Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, two more series will join my Netflix queue. I’m particularly excited about “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” and “The Walking Dead: Dead City.”

Why this is a smart business move

As a long-time fan of quality television, I have to admit that AMC has certainly delivered some exceptional shows over the years. Anne Rice’s titles and “A Discovery of Witches” are just a few examples that come to mind. However, when it comes to being the biggest streamer or network in this highly competitive market, AMC+ doesn’t quite make the cut for me.

Based on my understanding and experience in the media industry, I believe this is a shrewd business decision by Deadline. As someone who has closely followed the trends in streaming services and traditional television networks, I can see how allowing Netflix to stream shows from AMC and AMC+ could potentially lead to increased viewership and subscriber growth for both parties. The financial benefits are also clear – revenue from licensing agreements and potential increases in advertising revenue for AMC. It’s a win-win situation that leverages the strengths of each platform, allowing more viewers to access great content while also driving business growth. From my perspective, this is exactly the kind of innovative partnership that will shape the future of media consumption.

Netflix stands out as the largest streaming service among many in existence, a fact acknowledged by both its supporters and critics. The platform boasts an impressive user base and reach. Shows such as “Breaking Bad” and “Suits,” which initially gained popularity off-air, saw a resurgence thanks to Netflix. Similarly, series like “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Outlander,” which already enjoyed substantial viewership, experienced further growth upon being added to Netflix.

In simpler terms, AMC making some of its top shows available on a streaming platform is a clever business decision. This benefits both parties greatly, and for us viewers, it means having all our favorite content conveniently accessible in one place, which is definitely a plus!
