Star Trek is bringing back the Hallmark Christmas ornament with a surprise addition
As a die-hard Star Trek fan of over three decades, I can’t help but get excited whenever Hallmark announces a new collaboration with the beloved franchise. The connection between these two entities runs deep, and no other franchise has quite the same significance in Hallmark’s history of merchandise.
Star Trek fans of a certain generation continue to look forward with excitement for every new collaboration between the franchise and Hallmark. While Hallmark is mainly recognized for its heartwarming films, this company has also been creating family-friendly merchandise for various franchises for many years. However, it’s the connection between Star Trek fans and Hallmark that sets it apart. For decades, Hallmark, famous for its greeting cards, has introduced Star Trek ornaments designed to be displayed on Christmas trees (or any other suitable place in your home).
As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled to share that this year, Hallmark has unveiled a new addition to their Keepsake collection that will surely make my heart skip a beat! Instead of just imagining the Enterprise, Deep Space Nine, the Enterprise-D, Klingon Bird of Prey, and even the Borg Cube as beautiful ornaments adorning our homes, we can now bring the USS Enterprise-B into reality. This magnificent starship will be available at all Hallmark retailers. And if you pre-order right now, it’s yours for $34.99!
As a passionate gamer and avid Star Trek fan, I’m excited to share some more thrilling news with you! If you’re planning to attend the San Diego Comic-Con this summer, get ready to add an extraordinary item to your collection: the Enterprise-B, complete with “Nexus damage.” This isn’t just any model; it’s one of four expected to be released during the Holiday season. Additionally, keep an eye out for the Christopher Pike and Beverly Crusher ornaments that are soon to follow! Not only that, but the Star Trek Starfleet Incoming Message 3D Pop-Up Card is another must-have item on the horizon. So mark your calendars and prepare yourself for these fantastic new additions to your collection!
An unexpected selection for the next Star Trek X collaboration ship at Hallmark is the Enterprise-B. With less than 20 minutes of screen time in the original series, which is now thirty years old, its impact on the Star Trek universe has been relatively small. The Enterprise-B made a brief appearance in the film “Star Trek Generations,” setting off an intriguing chain of events. Captain James T. Kirk bids farewell to some old comrades aboard this ship, only to be presumed dead following its encounter with the Nexus – a tear in space that sends individuals into a dimension where time and space do not exist.
Imagine a form of everlasting existence, if you can conceptualize that. But unlike the traditional notion of an afterlife, in this scenario, you have the ability to move through time and space if you possess the necessary knowledge.
Needless to say, it’s interesting that they went with such a widely underused starship.
