Skeleton Crew director promises something very different for Star Wars
As a dedicated gamer and Star Wars fan with years of experience immersed in various galaxies far, far away, I am beyond excited for the upcoming release of “Skeleton Crew” on Disney+. The announcement that Lee Isaac Chung, director of “Minari” and “The Mandalorian” Chapter 19, is involved in this new Star Wars project only adds to my anticipation.

It’s got a lot of Jon Watts in it, and anyone who’s a fan of what Jon Watts does – he’s very childlike in a beautiful way, in the way that he tells stories and how he captures a childlike perspective in things. He brings that beautiful perspective to this story of young people in the Star Wars universe.
I was thoroughly impressed by the well-written scripts and thoughtful design of “Skeleton Crew.” I have to give a big shout-out to Jon Watts and the fantastic team behind the scenes. They truly made my gaming experience with this series unforgettable.
I felt like I hadn’t seen this. When I read all of the scripts, and when I was looking at the design of what he was designing – he asked if I would be on board. It was a no-brainer for me once I saw what he was working on. And then, also, working with him on that show, and with Jude and all the incredible actors who we have – it was a lot of fun. We were just having fun all the time. The kids were incredible and great.
Based on limited information, “Skeleton Crew” appears to be an age-appropriate adventure tale unfolding in the New Republic period. According to Chung, this production is designed for family viewing and he anticipates it will bring joy to families watching it together.
What I hope is that it’s really going to touch families, and families are going to want to spend a lot of time with the show.
The limited information available about Skeleton Crew, which includes merchandise leaks and reports on its young cast and possible appearances of Din Djarin and Grogu, has left many wondering what the show holds. Jude Law portrays a Jedi character, but details regarding the plot are scarce. Insiders hinted that Nevarro could play a significant role, while some suspect that Mando and Grogu might make an appearance. There have also been rumors of Gorian Shard’s pirate gang reappearing in the series. Given the lack of concrete information on the storyline, Skeleton Crew has the potential to take fans by surprise.
