Fire Country season 1 will be added to this streamer (and no it's not Paramount+)

As a huge fan of CBS dramas, I cannot contain my excitement over the latest news about “Fire Country”! This series has captured my heart with its unique blend of drama, suspense, and soap opera elements. And the recent announcement that season 1 will be streaming on Netflix starting August 1 is just the cherry on top!

CBS has produced several engaging dramas throughout the years. A few of these shows lean towards the dramatic and emotional side, and “Fire Country” falls into this category.

As a devoted fan, I’d describe it this way: In the show, I follow Bode’s journey, portrayed brilliantly by Max Thieriot. He’s an inmate who manages to secure a spot in a firefighting program as a means to shorten his prison term. However, instead of being transferred to another region as promised, he unexpectedly lands back in his hometown. Now, I’m not just cheering him on to stay out of trouble and earn parole, but also watching him navigate the complicated waters of mending relationships with his family and old friends.

The show is set for a significant enhancement with the acquisition of streaming rights. In simpler terms, it’s on its way to experiencing the positive impact of being on Netflix.

Fire Country season 1 heads to Netflix

As a passionate gamer, I’m excited to share that starting August 1, I’ll be able to stream the first season of the new firefighter drama series on Netflix. Who knows, maybe we’ll get more seasons in the future, but for now, let’s focus on what’s available. Netflix is keen on watching how well the show does before making a decision about additional seasons. And CBS might not be ready to release all seasons just yet.

At present, there are two parts or installments of the “Fire Country” series available. The third season is currently being produced and is scheduled to debut on CBS in October.

The show made a strong debut on October 7, 2022, attracting a record-breaking audience of 5.9 million viewers during its premiere. According to TVLine, this was the largest viewership for any new series in the 2022–2023 season. The numbers continued to grow, reaching eight million viewers per week with Live+7 playback. In its second season, the show maintained its popularity, drawing in a total of 7.3 million viewers.

Where to stream other seasons of the series

If you’re looking forward to seeing more of Fire Country in its second season, you’ll have to subscribe to another streaming service as it’s currently only available on Paramount+.

As a passionate gamer and avid fan of this specific series, I’m thrilled to share that both seasons will be available on Paramount+ for me to enjoy. However, Netflix will also have a non-exclusive license to stream the show. This means that as we approach the release of season three on CBS, I can expect the second season to make its way over to Netflix. It’s reminiscent of shows like “Outlander” on Starz, where Paramount+ aims to keep some exclusivity to entice viewers to subscribe and stay connected with their content.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on Fire Country as it arrives on Netflix.
