Why didn't Prince Louis join either of his parents on their sports outings over the July 12 weekend?

As a dedicated gamer and avid follower of royal news, I couldn’t help but notice the buzz surrounding the absence of Prince Louis during his elder siblings’ recent outings to major sporting events with their parents. It was a delight to see Princess Charlotte and Prince George accompanying Catherine and William to Wimbledon and the UEFA European Championship respectively. However, the question on many fans’ lips was, “Where was Prince Louis?”

On July 14th, Princess Charlotte joined her mother, Princess Catherine, at the Wimbledon tennis finals. They sat together during the match, and later in the day, Princess Charlotte met the victor of the men’s tournament and shook their hand. Meanwhile, Prince George was present with his father, Prince William, at the UEFA European Championship soccer game in Germany on the same day.

On social media, many fans wondered where Prince Louis was as they hadn’t seen him at the significant sports events with his parents yet. It’s a reasonable query given that his older siblings had made appearances.

I’m just a gamer, but if I were talking about Prince Louis and his attendance at major sporting events, I might say something like this: “Prince Louis is only six now, so it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer before he joins his older siblings, George and Charlotte, at big sports events. According to People Magazine, those two didn’t make their debuts until they were eight. So, it’s safe to assume that Prince Louis won’t be courtside at Wimbledon or cheering on England in the UEFA European Championship for at least another two years.”

Why wasn’t Prince Louis with either of his parents during their outings to major sports events this past weekend?

It’s not unexpected that Prince William left Prince Louis behind for the big sports event in Germany. However, you may be pondering about Wimbledon. The thing is, there are rigorous sound regulations during matches at Wimbledon. Considering Prince Louis is only 6 years old, it might be challenging for him to remain silent and seated for an extended duration.

At Wimbledon, as outlined in their code of conduct, it’s asked that you avoid making any noise during a tennis rally. Making an unreasonable amount of noise could even result in your removal from the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Given this rule and Louis’ young age, it seems understandable why he wasn’t there with his mother and sister.

As a fan, I can understand why Prince Louis wasn’t present at the recent public outings with his parents; after all, he’s still quite young. But I also get why people might have noticed and commented on his absence, as both of his older siblings had the opportunity to attend these events in person.

Do you have any thoughts on this? Was it unexpected for you that Prince Louis didn’t join his siblings and parents for tennis and soccer outings, instead staying at home?
