As a dedicated fan of Stranger Things, July 15 holds a special place in my heart as it marks the anniversary of the show’s premiere back in 2016. It’s hard to believe that eight years have passed since we were first introduced to Hawkins and its strange happenings. The anticipation for the upcoming fifth and final season is palpable, and Netflix has given us a delightful behind-the-scenes video to tide us over.
July 15 holds significance in the “Stranger Things” fan community, marking the day the acclaimed series debuted in 2016. Even eight years later, the anticipation for the show remains palpable as fans eagerly await the final season, “Stranger Things” 5. It’s hard to believe we’ve reached this milestone!
It’s a mix of sadness and excitement for me as I anticipate the conclusion of this amazing Netflix series. In celebration of its anniversary, Netflix has generously shared a fascinating behind-the-scenes video filled with intriguing insights for us fans. Definitely a wonderful treat to savor before we delve into it! Don’t forget to watch the video below first.
Let’s begin with the essentials. Fortunately, all leading characters emerge in the video at some point. We can only hope they all survive their encounter with Vecna, particularly Max who ended up in a coma by the end of season 4. Other noteworthy aspects include Hawkins High School, the quartet of boys continuing to use their bikes, an abundance of Steve (which is why I’m tuned in!), the poignant revelation that Millie Bobby Brown was just ten when she started on the show and has now turned twenty, and additional intriguing behind-the-scenes material. The vastness of the soundstages is truly astounding as well.
From the video, we learn that three new characters are introduced: Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux. We only get brief glimpses of them so far, but I’m excited to discover what parts they will play in the conclusion of the tale.
I’m thrilled to see that the upcoming season will be packed with action, battles, and Eleven’s badassness in full display. What truly pumps me up, though, is the fact that the beloved quartet of Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will are featured prominently throughout many scenes. And that’s exactly what I can’t wait to reconnect with!
Despite the fact that Will was mostly apart from his friends in season 1, it is the group consisting of the boys and Eleven who have become the focal point of the story. After being divided into different groups during the last two seasons, I’m eagerly anticipating having the charming ensemble cast reunited in these final episodes. I believe this is what we can look forward to.
The filming of Stranger Things season 5 has passed its midpoint, with a planned release on Netflix around 2025. It’s unfortunate that this fantastic show is nearing its end, but I’m eagerly anticipating the thrilling finale the Duffer Brothers have prepared for us.
